I'm so glad you're enjoying it!! The Abaddon series was my first foray into fanfiction, and I'm so grateful that it has been so well received. And *cough* I'm the same way when it comes to hurt!Loki scenes. I like me some hurt/comfort. >:]
OH. Hahahaaaa! Not familiar with the original myths, then I take it. My headcanon is a weird mix of movie, comic, and myth 'verse, and I was into the myths loooong before I was into the Marvelized version. To sum up, to keep Odin from losing a bet, Loki had to distract this magical horse (I'm reeeeeally condensing here; look up "Sleipnir"or "Svadilfari", and you'll see), so Loki shape-shifted into a mare in heat. Unfortunately for Loki, said stallion was a fast runner. Loki got pregnant and gave birth to an eight-legged horse (watch Thor closely: you see that horse Odin rides when he saves Thor and co.'s asses? Yeah. Eight legs. That's his grandson).
There are other myths involving pregnant!Loki as well, but they vary depending on the translation. The Sleipnir myth consistently refers to Loki giving birth, lol.
Oh, really? It comes across as pretty well planned for your first fanfic! XD
Haha, that sounds awesome. Mythology is really pretty crazy, I was always amazed during Latin classes at that dirty guy Zeus, banging a cloud, cow, ... xD I talked yesterday with a friend who told me that Loki also shape-shifted into a woman sometimes... yeah, lol, he must be the perfect troll. Thanks for the explanation, I'll look it up.
I'm almost finished with your fanfic now :( *currently reading the last chapter*
Also I'm curious, but: I see you published a book? I was wondering how you exactly managed that, did you send the draft to a publisher etc.? :3 (I always wanted to eventually publish one (or more :3 ) books too, but since I'm native german I'm still thinking about how to best go about that. I mean, a friend always keeps telling me that the english market is much better (especially for e-books) because you have a bigger audience, but then again even though I guess my English is decent, I'd have to polish it up before considering publishing something in my non-native language. xD)
