All those things unsaid.

Thoughts of fear; for ahead
was a future unknown,
and you stand on the
brink completely alone.

Thoughts you don't share,
they won't understand.
As you wait for things to happen
that you hadn't planned.

Here's a penny for your thoughts
The ones deep inside,
the one you're ashamed of,
the ones you try to hide.

Here's to your thoughts
of better days gone by
& here's to those thoughts
that make you sigh a sigh.

Here's a penny for your thoughts
of people that passed on thru,
A penny for your thoughts;
thoughts of me and you.

Seems to be a lot for very little,
Thousands of them, too many
to count: each and every one
of my thoughts; all for a penny.
