As a close friend has reprimanded me for not making enough entries in my livejournal I thought I should update. Actually I've had an interesting Easter all in all.
Thursday night I went to a friend's for dinner and as she showed me her online dating thing, I showed her my gaydar profile. Straight dating sites seem much tamer than gaydar. She had a photo or her face on there and then a long blurb about herself and most of the people she was in contact with had the same thing. They all seemed to write really long emails as well. I then showed her gaydar, where I had more than my face on there and a message from 49 year old man telling me that he wanted to sodomise me and that he couldn't wait for me to "ride his love pole". Classy. We had a good giggle though and it was great to see her.
Friday night I had a date with a guy I met online. He was a bit off the wall, but it was entertaining enough.
Saturday night I went for dinner at a friend from work and my admirer was there. He works on reception and he gave me a big bunch of flowers. I have to confess I did blush a bit. Am not going to get involved in that one though - I still have memories of some of my early SDRO scandals and now I have a proper job, I don't want a reputation as a tart to emerge even if it might be true).
Sunday night went out for drinks with another guy I met online and really took a liking to his friend. He was very in keeping with my efforts to widen my range of experiences this year - he was 42, the oldest man I have ever been with by quite a few years. I actually think that I will see him again sometime, he has potential. But I dating about two guys a week at the moment, so it is a bit of a crowded field. I am basically meeting anyone that I think could be interesting in some way and going with the flow.
That may all sound a bit man dominated, but it is spring in London and this is when everyone starts getting out into the pubs and clubs again and things really happen.....
