Its been too long.......

Its been FAR too long since my last post in here. So much has happened, i'm not sure where i should start.

well, since i'm not sure which to say first, i'll say both of these at once and then elaborate one by one:
1. the drama play freakin rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i'm still on successful acting high)
2. i'm taking carolyn to prom :)

ok, first, the play. last night and tonight were the big open performances. and they went terriffic!! i had been so worried about this play until about two weeks ago, but it came together at the last second. Me and billy got extra applause (we both kinda stole the show last night, and i did some tonight, but billy managed to steal a bit more than me tonight :P ) for nailing our acting. i absolutely nailed my character!!!!!! i loved it!!!!!!!! and as a result, my ego is still a bit inflated (admittedly :P) . and the actors who i was worried about, got there stuff together fairly well, especially for these big two performances. and during the scenes we came up with so many great gags on the fly while on stage, it was hilarious. also, michelle, who read the script as a stand-in for rebecca, did very well. she read the lines dramatically, so she managed to stay in character. gunnar's batman prank was hilarious, and after it was all said and done, i started a huge group hug for mrs. sonnier ( i meant it as a smart-ass cause she joked about being sick of us and needing a break), but it turned into a big cheer for her!! cause even though i didn't agree with how she did everything, and she did piss me off at points, the woman really did bust her ass for this production and came through for all of us in drama club, so once again, kudos to mrs. sonnier. also, jordan gave a very sincere thank you and commendation to us all after it was done, saying how he was glad this was his last production at the school (he's a senior this year), and that he was honored to be in it. and granted, i did not like his being casted for the lead male at first, and i'm positive i could have done it better, this worked out better. for two reasons:
1. my character was so exagerrated that the only way i could have topped that performance while portraying the lead male is if the person playing that lead male's sidekick was an equally good or almost as good actor, so this setup had the play come out much funnier.
2. although he personally irks me at times, jordan is an alright guy and this was his senior year. and as many times and as severely as he had pissed me off in drama practice at points, when i saw him after last night's production with his mother, i had a small change of heart towards him. his mother was so proud of him in that play, you could just see this wonderful admiration within her eye, the pride of her successful little senior, and i don't doubt jordan was delighted to make her so proud. even though i wanted his role, i wouldn't have wanted to rob him of that glory, it is his senior year, and when i saw that, i was SO happy for him that i knew then, i couldn't bring myself to really hold a grudge or resent him much over the times when he made mistakes.
also, in terms of his acting, he needs some work, but more than anything, he just needs to buckle down with line memorizing, cause once he can do that, i think he can do his acting fairly well. if he wants to continue acting, i know the wonderful world of theater will give him that swift kick in the ass eventually, so if he keeps with it, he will improve, so congrats to jordan and good luck to him.
furthermore, although they're not getting equal mention here (i didn't have much to reconcile with the others), congrats to the other seniors, i'm happy for them aswell, and if any of them continue acting, they will also improve and the best of luck to them all! billy did an outstanding job and his boy scout comedy voice was so good that not even my character's whiny brat voice could beat it.
for the underclassmen involved, here's to a wonderful production and more to come! katie wasn't the happiest with her role in this play, but she sucked it up with a downright admirable maturity that i'm sure will bring good things her way. erin wasn't as disappointed with her role and since as i could tell from reading your lj erin, you can't bring out your acting ability much with roles that contrast your ownself or at the least, roles that contrast traits u admire. and erin still did decent acting even considering her character was one she had a hard time clicking with, so good job to you erin. and you also displayed that same maturity that katie did. awesome job to both u girls, and i'm sure you'll have better roles next year!!
given it all, i'm not sure if i'm happy or sad that the production is over, i'm glad the work's done, but it was a great deal of fun and i'll miss that fun. so, the school play rocked, and as a result, i ask all those that read this to give a round of applause to everyone who helped and contributed to the 2004-2005 delmar high school drama club, we made it happen as a group!!!!!!!

ok, this next bit won't be as long, cause for some reason, i'm a bit bashful about this. but i do have a date for prom. its carolyn!!!!!! just when i was starting to think she was gonna say no, i got a yes, which well, kicked total ass!!!!! i've been talking to her a lot more and i'm starting to like her a good bit. she's a nice girl, smart, easy to get along with, laughs at most of my off-beat humor (major brownie points there), and she's a downright beautiful girl. so, i'm fortunate enough to have an absolutely wonderful prom date who is a bit out of my league. the situation feels to be at that really awkward bit though. she knows i'm interested, no doubt. but of course nothing's official, but its not even what i'd call unofficial. its just, "something's up" stage, lol, and i don't think anyone knows what that something is, lol. but, i'm keeping my cool on this one, i'm trying to not get my hopes up too much, but i will definitely be a happy camper if this prom goes well and the whole situation pans out well.

well, i think i've hit my major points and covered them thoroughly enough. please reply to this entry ppl, it'll be good to hear from some of ya. i'm out, later ppl.
