SUNDAY JULY 11, 2004
I absolutely adore this city. A usual 5-6 hour trip had turn into a 10 hour trip, the time went by so fast but we weren't really going anywhere. Can you just imagine a school bus with 20 or so girls...oy vey. Actually it wasn't that bad, I talked to Natalie throughout the whole trip, all she could think about is her man, but the only man that plagued my mind was Steve Nash...aaahhhh the GREED!!! But as soon as we reached the city limits, seeing the great architectural skyscrapers in the beautiful navy night sky just fills me with so much elation.

We stayed at Hawthorn Suites, my room was so pimp, I think the suites use to be apartments. I had the best roommates ever, our room was definitely the most diverse, theirs me the Asian chick, Philicia D a black chick, Gracie a.k.a "clumsy cracker," and Ashli M a mixed chick. Not to brag or anything, but our room had the best people, we were all oh so different.

MONDAY JULY 12, 2004
Around 8:45 am, we went to the Metroplex for the newspaper/photography/yearbook camp. Well I was in a really good position because I was the only one really who had an option on which course I would take. I decided to take newspaper since I felt was my weakest skill, well Philicia and this girl name Vanessa took it with me. That class was boring as hell, oh my god; the first day we had to go over the policies and take notes, the teacher gave us a butt load of homework, and to make it even worse she made us write...aside from mathematics I believe writing is my weakest point I'm pretty useless when it comes to writing, that's why on the newspaper staff I'm only responsible for stats and photography. Well after the camp thing was over Philicia, Vanessa, and I told Mrs. Garner that we didn't want to do it anymore, so she let use change classes for tomorrow.

We were suppose to return back to Metroplex later on that night, but Mrs. Garner was awesome and she just said that we were gonna go shopping at the Galleria. We split up in little groups, I was went with Natalie and her mom. I was helping out Natalie plan out her little romantic rendezvous with her man on Saturday, we went to like cute little clothing stores and yeah they had cute stuff their but none of it interest me, so I basically started to talk to some on the workers about the Mavs while the rest of the people looked for clothes.

Then after that we went back to the hotel and order pizza.

TUESDAY JULY 13, 2004
We went back to the Metroplex at the same time, but I went to the digital photography class. Well the class was a better than the newspaper thing but it also made me not like digital photography very much, well actually the adobe Photoshop program was what irritated me the most. But we got to go to a little trip to the Dallas Farmers Market and Fair Park to take pics, well I knew that we were suppose to be really taking pics of people but I didn't really want to so I took pics of objects in an abstract manner...not to sound cocky but I thought they were good. Alas the camera wasn't mine so I could keep the pics.

After the camp we went to Urban Outfitters, well I wasn't so impressed with that store either, but their was this one chick (forgot her name) who spent $300. I just bought this really comfy $5 flip-flops from the Gap (I know shocking, Richelle actually bought something from the GAP). For dinner Ashli, Gracie, Jasmine, Philicia, and I went to some Tex-Mex restaurant; it was really good well except for the tamale and the fact that our waiter dropped the water on Ashli, but he was still a good waiter. We all shared this appetizer platter and chicken enchilada, so we split the bill.

When we returned to the hotel me and Gracie had to remastered our pics on a laptop, I hated the laptop that was assigned to me it all old and heavy. Anyways I took a pic of Philicia, than me and Gracie started to mess with her pic, we were adding like dreads and whore make-up on it. Then I took a pic of Ashli, it was so funny cause she looked like an ex-convict, so I added whore make-up on the right eye and gave her a black eye on the other. While I was doing messing up Ashli's face Gracie was messing up our faces on the a group pic that all four of us took...she made Philicia look like the little girl from the Cosby show, Ashli with skin Cancer and Annie red afro, she made her self look like into a gremlin, and she did the worse possible thing she could do to me...she made me BLOND...aahhh, it was funny though she put it as a her background.

WEDNESDAY JULY 14, 2004
It was our last day at the camp, so it was presentation day. The photography students had to make a slide show, well the teacher man deleted my pics because they weren't of people, but I didn't care all I cared about was that he kept my rope knot pic cause it was my favorite, so he did keep it on the slideshow.

Afterwards went on a Taylor's yearbook factory tour, it was boring as hell. After that we went to Sam Moons, it was basically like a China Town under one roof. I was probably the only girl was that excited when I went through the doors, the rest of the girls went crazy and running everywhere, I just walked around and looked at stuff...but don't get me wrong I did buy stuff: two parts of blue earrings, a ring with shiny blue stones, and this sheer fabric that had different shade of blue with white and black.

Then after that we went to Grapevine mall, this is what I've been looking forward too, throughout this whole trip cause I set aside $80 for Maverick stuff. Well anyways Natalie was my shopping buddy, I was helping her out to find provocative outfits to wear for her man. And as for me I just went mostly to the sporting stores, but I have a great story to tell...

Me and Natalie went to this sporting store called Just Sports. Well anyways, every time I go somewhere down South I seem to lose my country accent (well there isn't very much to lose), to appear as if I were from the North. Well anyways I don't feel like going to much detail, so basically I flirted with the guy and he gave me a discount on my Maverick mug and key chain (mug:$12.99 to $9.99, key chain $7.99 to 3.99).

Throughout this whole trip people have learned about me and they think I’m absolutely crazy because of basketball, I think my agenda book kinda set it off and probably the bracelets kinda helped out in that thought. Well anyways Vanessa said “where were you last year when we needed you on the staff?” Mrs. Evans thought I was the biggest Maverick fan, I told her there are a lot of people who are bigger fans than I am, and she said “is that even possible?” I told her yeah…she was in disbelief.

Well anyways after buying a couple more stuff me and Natalie were heading into a store, then all of a sudden I heard somebody call out “Rochelle!,” I was like kinda scared cause you I was like “who the hell knows me in Dallas?” then I turned around and it was Brandon Love.  And he was like knoding his head no and he said "what's up with your boy, Steve Nash?" and I said the usual "he picked money over winning."

Anyways around 6 o'clock me, Mrs. Garner, Mrs Evans, Grant, Katie, and Lindsey went to the Rain Forest Cafe; the other people went to Chili's cause they didn't want to pay too much.  I've been to the Rain Forest so many times, but I must say this was the most annoying, the forest noises seem to be louder and to make it even worse we were sitted by the water.

Anyways $60 dollars later I was done shopping I satisfied my Maverick needs.

Then at 9:30 we went back to the hotel, we all went to the pool; afterwards the other people came into our room and we had so kinda of sleep over without the sleeping over.  We were doing hair and makeup and junk food.

When all the people left me, Ashli, and Gracie were talking about guy problems; as for Philicia she was having guy problems with her man over the phone.  Then Gracie and Philicia went to sleep, and me and Ashli stayed up a little longer, we were planning to stay up the whole night, but Gracie wasn't feeling very well and she needed to sleep.  Well the the next thing I knew Mrs. Garner was knocking at our door, and  we were late getting up cause our alram didn't sound.

THURSDAY JULY 15, 2004
We got on the road around 9:00 it was, but then when we reached Arkadelphia the gas leaked so we were stuck there for like 2 hours.  We hung out at Wal-Mart and ate at Western Sizzlings...wow that sounds really country.  After experiencing Dallas's perfect weather, Arkansas was horrible, it was so humid that it felt like you were sufficating...like I like extremely hot weather but you know I'd like to breath a little.  Well me and Gracie started to pour water on ourselves, it looked so nasty cause it looked like we were sweat drenched, but as soon as the bus started to move, the combination of wet skin and the wind felt so good.

Well that's my trip to Dallas...in my opinion it could have been a lot better.
