Overall Colorful Week

Jun 10, 2012 23:47

This week flowed fast and it's Sunday already. Well, it's late night and almost a new day here in my place. Within this week, I got fun listening to JUMP World and happy with the result of AKB48 Senbatsu election. I also feel very vex for some reasons as well, mainly because stupid comments on websites especially when it comes to J-Pop vs K-Pop. Everyone can be very ignorant that they even don't realize that they are no longer voicing their opinion but being stubborn.
Let's check them one by one.

JUMP World is keeping me happy although at first time I heard the album, a certain track made me cried because I remembered about Ryuu. I still can't get over it after all.... ): But overall, the varieties of music in the album is great and I have fun listening to the album over and over again now. But i'm worry about its selling....somebody!!! Please buy the album...

AKB48 Senbatsu election ended with Oshima Yuko chosen as center. I was not surprise at all because she's a very popular member and she had stolen center position from Acchan once. I wasn't surprised at all when I found Matsui sisters from SKE48 made it to senbantsu top ten. But the thing that surprised me was the fact that Jurina won the vote from her elder sister by a large margin. Did I miss something here? Because the last time I checked, Rena is more popular than Jurina. But, I'm happy for Jurina. Good for her. Checking on the list of 16 senbatsu members, Matsui sisters are the only ones from non AKB48.
I'm happy as Takamina made it to senbatsu team. She placed 6th behind Shinoda Mariko. The perfect thing for me is that MInegishi Minami and also Kojima Haruma also made it into senbatsu team. It's a good thing to know that all members of no3b are in senbatsu team. Also, Sashihara Rino made a significant position in snebatsu. She's in 4th behind captain of team B, Kashiwagi Yuki.

I saw someone did a math job of senbatsu election in tokyo hive. Here's what he typed:

"after doing the math of adding all the votes up

2011 election - 1,079,978

2012 election - 1,274,350

200,000 more than last years total votes

granted last years was only 1-40 and this years was 1-64

but last years lowest spot (40) only got 4698 votes where this years 65th spot got 5398 votes"

Wow....just wow....but apparently Yuko and Yukirin I mean, Kashiwagi Yuki votes were actually dropped.

A little confusion came to me when I visited a K entertainment website for the usual gathering information. I read that Kim Yuna was voted as the number one Korean sports star. My first reaction was...huh? Isn't Park Ji Sung more famous and more....legendary. I always rooting for him ever since he entered Manchester United. But a comment stated that Yuna is always someone who gets more attention from Koreans. Why? I thought about the reasons and cannot thought about other reasons but this, Kim Yuna fits the image of South Korea's nation branding. She's beautiful. She's talented. She has excellent achievements in her young age. She's perfect for Korea unlike Park Ji Sung who is (sorry) not good looking despite having his very own very excellent achievements.
The article stated that Kim Yuna believed to be someone who raised Korea's athletes to be recognized more in the world. I don't really care about what the people in Korea think about her, but I think this is wrong. I believe that if the question was about the most influence-able South Korea's athlete in the world, Park Ji Sung is the one. Because I'm sorry to say that I don't even know her if it's not because of that article. So the main reason she was chosen for me is she's what Korea dreamed of.

I got sad because of a story my mother's friend told me and my mother. I already wrote it here. It made me think again about a lot of things in life.
I have an overall colorful week. Hopefully next week will be filled with colors too....

hey! say! jump, the world around me, random thought, morimoto ryuutaro, takahashi minami
