Has anyone ever been to Halifax, Nova Scotia?
I've been meaning to do a 'catch up' type post for forever. I've just been in what I call a 'funk of indeterminate origin' for awhile now. Nothing serious or anything like that, just a big old bunch of malaise accompanied with a dash of apathy. Which doesn't make for very happy posting. I've tried to keep up with scene_again and 100_snapshots and have been posting when I can there.
You would think with Spring here and all the birds to watch it would make my mood better, and it's helped. BUT the thing that has me dancing a dance of joy is the hubby is going on one of his business junkets (just found out today) and it is one where I can tag along and spend the time while he is conferring (or whatever they get up to) doing the tourist/photographer thing. And it is going to be in Halifax, Nova Scotia!!!!!! I have been dying to go somewhere on the East coast, having never been there, and Halifax looks to be especially picturesque. The flight from Vancouver to Halifax will be long, but my ticket (the only one we'll have to actually pay for) will be very reasonable!!!!
So, have any of my LJ friends ever been to Halifax? Is there anything I MUST do while there?
I'm just so excited, a big old (mostly paid) trip to the Eastern seaboard!!! New birds, picturesque place, can it get any better?!
