I know what you're thinking, where the heck have I been, right? Well, mostly I've been over at
scene_again , but in looking through my journal, I realized it has been forever since I posted here.
I've set myself a rather daunting pre-NaNoWriMo goal and it's been a bit all consuming. Not to mention that my stupid arm & neck have been playing up. Before NaNoWriMo started, I vowed to finish up my 'current' fan fiction story so I can be done with it. Frankly, I am so sick and tired of these characters, I haven't written a word in months and months. This story has been languishing for almost two years, but I've had a few epiphanies about it and completely believe I can finish it today! (Editing and such will make a nice break from the NaNo-ing). Soooooo, that being my major focus lately, I hadn't really thought about the fact I have no idea what the subject of all the NaNo-ing would be. Oops. So this morning I asked Mr. Mav if he had any ideas. At first he just looked at me as if I am completely cracked, starting NaNo (tomorrow) with no clue what I was doing seemed a bit much. Well, he thought about if for 15 minutes and then called me into the kitchen (I was watching last night's Mavericks game on TIVO, they TROUNCED the Lakers, btw) and he started reeling off this elaborate idea which is perfect! So, YAY I have a starting point for my NaNo!!!!! WooHoo!!!!!
My life is just scintillating, isn't it?
At the request of
edith_jones , I'm putting a few Fergus photos under the cut.
The puppy has been doing well, except for the fact that a couple of months ago we learned he has an allergy...wait for it...to GRASS!! So he gets allergy pills a couple of times a day and we get to spray his feet with topical anti itch spray, all of which has been very effective.
As ever, he goes most places with me when I go out and about. Here he is greeting me when I get back into the car.
I love this photo, he's watching me load pet food into the back of my car, and he's working the adorable which is one of his special talents (who, me, biased?).
Here is a photo for size comparison. The cabinet against which he is leaning is 37 inches tall, and he really is leaning, not sitting up totally straight. He was worn out from a day at doggy day care. He weighs in the vicinity of 155-160 pounds.
