the beginning
Today is a significant day. I enrolled in Beginner Japanese lessons today! They don't start till April but I'm so excited!
So far, I've only made baby steps in my Japanese learning journey. I'd thought about learning Japanese years ago but didn't make a move because I didn't feel like I had a solid motive to keep me going when it got tough. Now however, I've found myself recently obsessed with Japanese idol group Arashi (I'm late to the party, I know!). I began picking up a few odd words from watching their variety shows (such as sugoi, umai, nani, nande, arigatou, ohayou, subarashi, yabai etc.) and found myself becoming more and more intrigued with Japan.
