on writers

finished reading UP Press' final Kerima Polotan book - an anthology of personal essays, "the true and the plain." have read her novel, two other essay anthologies, and a short story collection. too bad one of my favorite writers is not a prolific one.

i identify so much with the lady's wit because where irony and fury are concerned, i cannot find the right words to capture them. tho, i love how capote puts it:

"I'll have her shitting razor blades when I'm through with her!"

Not the most poetic language but it gets the raw side of anger.
