Well, I give you credit for being one of the world's most hopeful people :P
I'm sure the counseling won't hurt. Even though I'm not a fan of it, it's probably better to go earlier, before anything were to get worse, than to wait until it's that or give up on the marriage. Maybe it will keep you from ever reaching that point. Good luck at any rate!
*hugs back* Thank you! :) I had a great day. Just sorry it's all over for another year. :(
It's really good that you and Jim are having counselling: it sounds like doing it now will probably save you a lot of problems further down the line. Good luck anyway! ♥
Between the couselling, the bimonthly dates, and the working out which is bound to make you both feel better about yourselves and eachother, you guys seem to be taking the right path. Best of luck to you in all those considerable endeavors! :)
Speaking as a fellow strapped-for-cash mama, you can also have "dates" inside the house... nice dinner (preferably take-out, for me!), DVD, whatever. M. and I really go our separate ways after dinner/J bedtime, so us actually watching TV together at night would be a Big Date, you know? :P
Good luck in counseling. If you don't love the therapist, that's okay - there are loads of them out there. I hope Jim is more forthcoming than M. was. It was like pulling teeth with him to get him to actually talk. We actually had our most forthcoming moments in the car on the way home, usually. *sigh* But we did come out stronger for it. :)
