* Do you recall how I
injured myself near a precarious location on my body not so long ago? Care to wager what happened to me tonight? I sat on the toilet to take a piss and our toilet seat that probably should've been replaced years ago BROKE IN HALF under my ass. That is one humbling experience. So now I have scratches from the broken wood of the toilet seat on the exact same spot.
* I had a point the second, but have forgotten what it was. Alas.
ETA: I remembered! Americans and Austen fans:
penster posted about this awhile back, but the time is now upon us folks! I obtained the full schedule from my library today:
Sunday, January 13: Persuasion
Sunday, January 20: Northanger Abbey (I'm a little bummed this is the one that was chosen for my birthday lol)
Sunday, January 27: Mansfield Park
Sunday, February 3: Miss Austen Regrets [a new drama based on Austen's own bittersweet love life] - um, I didn't see it, but isn't this essentially Becoming Jane? K, I Googled it and evidentially it is her later life (which is actually an odd choice of words because she wasn't old when she died).
Sunday, February 10: Pride and Prejudice, Part 1
Sunday, February 17: Pride and Prejudice, Part 2
Sunday, February 24: Pride and Prejudice, Part 3
Sunday, March 23: Emma
Sunday, March 30: Sense and Sensibility, Part 1
Sunday, April 6: Sense and Sensibility, Part 2
I can only suspect that Easter falls somewhere between P&P and Emma because I cannot imagine why else they'd have such a large gap. [Aside: Dan Rad's film My Boy Jack will be featured April 20]
These will all be featured on Masterpiece, so don't go looking for the actual titles of these in your listings. (I am not sure if Miss Austen Regrets is on Masterpiece or not.)
I am also bummed that I missed Jane Eyre. :/
