Last night Teresa had a dream.

In it, she and her brother Peter go to the zoo, at their mom's prodding. They buy tickets to see a show being advertised as a freak show/history lesson. Teresa and Peter, upon finding the rest of the zoo closed, decide to go. After getting swiped in (UVA dining hall style), they are led to a swank, 70's era waiting room that looked like Ben's bachelor pad in Blue Velvet. All around the room are beautifully tragic people with dark brown/black eyes, laying under blankets, strewn over chairs. Teresa becomes frightened. The door to the main room opens, signaling the end of the show before theirs, and a single 5 year old boy walks out, crying. Teresa and Peter walk into the room, which is a very dark and small and cramped movie theatre. They sit down and the headliner of the event, a intellectually advanced Lizard creature [she describes him having a head that looks like a starburst (http://www.wallpaper.net.au/wallpaper/space/Space%20Fiction%20Star%20Burst%20-%201024x768.jpg), grey in color, with and translucent scales]. The lizard described himself as a member of an virtually unknown advanced race, that because of advanced evolution has developed the ability to objectively judge humanity's actions throughout history. The lizard plays a serious of clips- footage from genocides, a person drowning, animal cruelty footage- and explains that man has only succeeded in mutilation of self and his surroundings. The footage continues, and Teresa becomes overwhelmed. Suddenly she realizes that besides her and her brother, the room is full of small children all being subjected to the same film. They are smiling. Teresa looks over at the boy sitting to her left, who slowly looks up at her distressed face and says, "Dont worry. It's only a kid's show." Immediately, all of the children in the room started crying. And Teresa woke herself up.

I am sleeping next to her, and because of the intensity of the dream she needs to tell someone. She tries to wake me up, and i push her.

"I need to tell you about this nightmare i just had."

I am in a strange unconciousness:

"EH... Just forget about it."

Teresa decides to kick me out of her room for being an asshole. She gets mad, and lets me know.

"Im just trying to introduce myself," I say. I turn towards the wall, forcing my back to her and resume my sleeping. Teresa smiles, realizing the profound isolation of dreams, and falls back to sleep.
