I need to vent please
Okay so now I have no job. The project I was hired for wasn't going anywhere for awhile. But luckily I had a very late call back for a photo/imagery/photoshop/web position but when I turned up for a trial it turned out to be a major disappointment and all I will say is that it was the worst working conditions and most boring people and most uninspiring job ever.
So I fell into door bitching. makes me remember how much I hate people. Here are some tips:
1. Give me money if you are not on the door. I don't care who you are or what you do, if you are not on the guestlist pay up. It doesn't cost that much.
2. Don't hold my line up by being a jackass! I don't care if you're in Fall Out Boy. You are drunk and asking stupid questions and can't even pull up the sleeves to your hoodie so I can give you a special stamp.
3. Don't steal my food! FUCK YOU. I don't know you and it's not funny. I don't joke around when it comes to food. I'm not joking when I say i'll punch you for taking my chips. Try again and i'll push you down the stairs. I'm clearly eating dinner, you wouldn't walk past a random person's table and just eat off their plate would you? So why do it to me?
4. Don't argue with me.
5. If you pay for people other than yourself make sure they are there with you and not down the road! How the hell am I supposed to know who you've paid for!
6. Show me your bloody stamps, you can't expect me to remember you are! Don't get all shirty with me when I ask especially when there are 250 people that have gone through the doors!
7. All you have to do is be nice and i'll be nice back.
8. Don't be rude if you work there or are playing in a band that night. I don't know who you are. All you have to do is say "Hi! I'm (name) and I work here/I am playing in (band name) tonight".
9. Also if you are running whatever night it is please be organised. I hate disorganisation and make sure I/whoever else is doing the door knows exactly every single thing going on that they need to know.
