job hunt

Finding a job must be one of the most frustrating things on the planet. I am in need of job and have been looking for one almost every day since I've been back from the east coast (plus I was looking for one while I was over there). My parents said they'd loan me tuition money interest-free so I could go back. (They'd really like to see me further my education, but don't want to pay for it entirely.) And Michael will be earning enough money to cover all household expenses (rent, food, and other bills) for both of us. I hate mooching off of someone, but he'd be willing to do it.

It's also possible, which of course you already know, to get a loan from the bank to cover tutition and living expenses, if you don't mind the debt hanging over your head for a number of years. It seems like a loan is the only way to go if you can't pay for it out of pocket. It takes at least two years to get a Master's if you're going full-time. I just think it'd take forever and a day to do it if you're going part-time, especially if you can only do it in the evening, which may not even be possible with certain programs. You just have to decide/determine whether the investment and debt are worth the outcome. $35-40K/year with no debt or $80K/year after 2-4 years with $20K+ debt?

There's always subbing for an easy $100/day if you've got nothing better going on. It seems to take several weeks to get the paperwork filed though, as I'm experiencing now.
