I went to the MET today! Art museums are AMAZING!! I only got to cover a small part of it, but I have pictures from the Egyptian exhibit!! I got to meet Lauren and Ben as well...zomg, cool! They are so much fun to hang out with. I actually am not feeling very chatty, so I'll update more on my day in NYC.
Here we have fine wall art...probably from a tomb.
Part of a wall...you can see most notably Horus and Anubis...two women, perhaps Nut and Isis?
A closer picture of the fragment above...Anubis and unknown female goddess
A poor image...sorry
Don't you love the artistry?
Horus statue, very proud of this image.
Some mummy cases...classic male pharaonic cases.
A female mummy case...sorry it's so blurry.
My proudest image...the head from a statue of Tutankhamun.
A beautiful temple set up...with the gaurdian statues (my friend's in the way).
The temple doorway.
Statues of gods and goddesses...Bast the cat is my favourite.
Must be from a tomb...there's the feather of truth on the person's head...as well as the symbol for Osiris on top in gold.
I actually just loved the colours...the blue and gold.
A mummy!!
A closer look, the mummy was obviously important and more than likely a male.
Sorry it's fuzzy...but we can see Anubis, Horus...and another Anubis.
The Spinx at the front of the Egyptian Exhibit.
