This weekend was pretty fun. Well, from Thursday on. We went to the Field Museum for a field trip, and Laura and I posed with a ton of the statues. It was really fun.
Guys and Dolls was this weekend, and I ushered it every single night. Thursday night I sat with Jane and Jordan (who came to see it) and we watched it. It was so good. But empty, which made me sad. We went backstage during intermission to talk to everyone, which is always fun. We were going to go to Huck Finn's afterward, but they "couldn't fit us all" (whatever) so we were going to go play Ultimate Frisbee. That didn't happen, though, we turned around half-way to the park to go to Rosie's to pick Becki up because her sister's a jerk, and we stayed there with a lot of the Guys and Dolls people who are pretty cool. Friday night I sat with Stephanie, Laura, Angie, Pat, and his super-cool friend Katy. Again, it was a really good show. Then we went to Baker's Square after with Kevin and Ryan. It was fun, and interestinggggggggg. Teehee. Saturday I was backstage most of the time with Jane and Steph. We sat in the dressing room with everyone. I love how nobody minded. We went to TGIFriday's afterwards. It was semi-weird. Margret, Kevin, Ryan, Steph, and me. Kevin and Stephanie were sooooo hyper and crazy and the rest of us just sat there... eh. It wasn't that much fun.
But I love Guys and Dolls. It's one of my favorite musicals now.
I also saw the Kid's Kamp show, Music Man, on Friday and Saturday. I saw both casts, but I liked my sister's the best because the leads were stronger. Well... some of them. I did like the other Marian better, and the other Marcellus was easier to hear (though that could have just been because I was sitting in row B instead of N or O when I saw that cast).
In other news, Eileen's home!! I'm so happy. Except she hurt her shoulder. Someone slammed her into the boards when they were playing their last game and she hit her shoulder and she said she heard a crack. Which isn't good. I think she broke something because she can't move her arm because it's so sore. I saw her today, we went to see War of the Worlds (which was better than I thought it would be. A bit creepy, but still, I liked it). It was funny, though. It was her and her older brother and they picked me up and we went to the wrong place so we were about a half hour late. We didn't miss too much, though, thanks to the previews.
Afterwards, we went to see JACKIE!!!!! It was so cool, her parents went to see her concert last night and they said she could go home because they were kind of in the area and didn't have anything to do today. So we stopped by her house for an hour and ate dinner there. It was really great to see her, I haven't since the last day of school.
Then I had practice tonight. I have it every night this week from 7 to 10, then on Sunday from 1 to 10, then every night next week for who knows how long. But our show starts the 21st, and we need the practice. I'm excited for the show, and I'm really hoping the practices will get better, as they'd been a bit boring.
Oooo, and also, my senior friend Bernadette might be having a camp-out for the "cool" juniors in theatre and the seniors in theatre. I'd love that. The seniors all seem really fun, but I don't know a ton of them, so I'd love if we did do that. Except I'm so busy. I hate it. But I have only two weeks left of school. I'm so very happy about that.
