Scene 2
Evan, Steven, Michael, and Charlie are at there lockers.
Steven: So dude Evan how r you and Candy doing?
Evan: Fuck her I dumped her broke ass weeks ago.
Charlie: Dude Why?
Evan: That fucking Junkie, all she wants to do is have sex (murmurs) with her fucking Cocaine (talks) I don’t want to have sex with her.
Michael: Dude she is in 11th grade.
Evan: so- (motions his hands)
Steven: what Michael’s trying to say is that you’re in tenth?
Evan: I don’t give. Why hang with a junkie eleventh grader when there are so many 9th graders just waiting for us. (Girl passes by) Hello
Michael: Like her? (He points to Layla and her friends walking down the hall. Guys look at her. They stare)
Evan: Yeah like her she’s mine.
Michael: I saw her first.
(Evan walks over to girls)

Scene 3
Girls stare at Evan
Layla: He’s coming over here. He so hot.
Aubree: He looks nice
Telisa: and he’s hot
Lyla: He’s mine.
Layla (thinking): Not if I can help it.
(Evan walks to Layla. Lyla gets angry)
Evan: hi
Layla: H-
Lyla: Hi im Lyla.
(Layla looks down. Evan never takes his eyes off of Layla)
Evan: Hi
(Layla looks up. Lyla looks back and forth between Layla and Evan)
Lyla: Um Can you show me where this class is? (She points to a map)
Evan: It’s right there.(he points to map)
(Girls laugh)
Lyla: Your funny. But can you take me there?
Evan: (looks at Lyla) Uh actually I came here to t-
Lyla: It would mean so much to me if you did honest. It would be a huge help. (He looks at Layla)
Layla: (looks at Lyla and thinks) Why do you never see that he wants me
(Layla and Evan stare at each other. He smiles and so does she. He laughs. Her smiles disappear. She looks at Lyla then down at the floor)
Evan: Uh…
Lyla: Hmm?
Evan: Sure um follow me.
(Layla looks up at him. He stares at her still)
Lyla: Thank you.( She grabs his arm and pulls it away. Evan looks back)
(Steven walks up to Layla)
Steven: Hi I’m Steven. That was Evan. I’ve never seen that happen to him.
Layla: Seen what.
Steven: Someone turning him down
Layla: I didn’t turn him down.
Aubree: Yeah if he was trying to ask her out he never got a chance. Lyla claimed him.
Telisa: He is her property now.
Steven: I see so Layla right?
Layla: How did you know my name?
Steven: You Ice skate right?
Layla: You’re on the boy’s team?
Steven: Really good friend of mine is. I think he knew who you were too.
(Layla Laughs)
Steven: So Layla will you go out with me tonight?
Layla: I uh- Okay
