March 26, 2009: A blizzard slams into Denver (and I forget how much of the rest of Colorado), shutting the city down. I miss a day's work (two shifts); I am not amused.
April 1, 2009: Nature's April Fools prank -- a
thundersnow blizzard slams into the Northwest Denver Metro area, shutting down roads, causing numerous multple-car pileups, and otherwise generally freaking everyone out. ("Lightning and thunder in a freaking SNOWSTORM???? What the eff is up with that?!?!?!?")
April 3, 2009: Another blizzard is supposed to slam into Denver tonight, somewhere around midnight. Highways in the mountains west of us are already shut down. (Any bets on whether I sleep over in the office tonight after my second shift ends at 3:00 AM?)
