Kenny Beers picked up a new coffee machine for the office, along with a nice table for it to sit on. If I drank coffee, I think that I would be excited. It makes cappucino, or coffee, and some expresso stuff. But the good part of it I guess is that it makes individual cups, not an entire pot. So anytime that you want some, you can make it right away.
We ordered all of the furniture that is going to go in here, and I am helping to pick out color swatches right now so that we can get some of the walls painted. I believe after that all we need is the track lighting.
The executive director at the Y is now my immediate supervisor. The thing is that this week she has food poisoning, so she has not been there to give me tasks. So yesterday and monday I didnt have much to do. I fear that today is going to be packed with stuff. I have a lot to do since I am going to be at camp next week. Scheduling for two weeks and planning a dive-in, along with making sure that the new hire paperwork gets completed.
My travelog is coming along I think. I have now finished officially the second day of the trip. There is so much that I have done, but I have still so much more to do besides. I have 13 complete pages. I dont know if it is travelog style, I think it is scrapbook style, but I am ok with that, we get graded on completion only. I just hope that he has mercy on me because I dont even know if I will get half way done by the end of this week, and I have to turn it in at the end of next week. I should email him on that now.
Last night it happend again. Maybe I should not be so selfish because that I want to take up the sub every night, and I get mad when others are in there. But the thing is that I only get mad when it is filled with people that do not even attend this school. Last ngiht there were 6 kids running around, presumably lead kids. The lady with them was nice, it was just frustrating because I feel like people completely forget that people live here during the summer.
We did get to watch one episode of house before the dvd player in the group study room went haywire.
Last night I talked to Brady. I was quite honest with him about a few things. I also gave him a hard time because he is apparently dating some girl from Miami and she is crapped out. He is not at all interested or invested in the relationship. Partially because she is no where near him (he is stationed in California), and partially because she is crapped out. The way he talked about it though was sad. I think that I helped him see the error of his ways. He is a smart boy though. On Friday he graduates from buds training. This is a big deal because he has passed the hardest part of becoming a seal. He is going to come home for a while and then he goes to flight school and learn how to jump out of planes a lot. He graduates for real in December. He gets stationed somewhere in January, and is supposed to be deployed in October next year, but it may be far earlier than that even. It is so crazy to think about. It is really amazing though too. I should get a bumper sticker that says my friend is a Navy Seal. Im not sure that Justin would love that a ton though.
We are doing good. I wish that I could see him more than and hour a day, but it could be worse. He leaves friday to practice with the boys that are going to be in the band for camp next week. I may see him on Saturday fir a little while if he doesnt stay at home, but we are going down early for camp, so we wont even have a date night. But he comes to play on Tuesday, so that will be wonderful. However he will probably have to work early on Wednesday which means that he would have to leave right away once they get done.
That is basically my whole life right now. Nothing interesting at all.
Ohhhh...
Amy's shower this weekend was a lot of fun. I loved getting to see everyone, and it was so fun to have so much cute stuff... lucky girl! I have never seen more Victoria's Secret stuff before in my life. What I got her was really cute and I kind of wanted to keep it. I will not explain it on the www, but very cute.
Bethney's wedding was spectacular. The whole thing was amazing, and beautiful. The ceremony was nice, but the reception was incredible. We had nice appitizers on the veranda of the Mission Bay Legends Ball room and waited there until just before the bridal party got there. We were served salads, and an amazing dinner. Bethney looked outstanding, and the whole think was wonderful. I dont think that I have ever used as many positive adjectives in a few sentences then I just did. Justin and I talked about a wedding a lot in light of this. The first conversation didn't go that well. He has a lot of different opinions than I do about the whole thing. This was troublesome mildly, but I dont think that I have to worry about it too much right now still. I love him.
