Christmas

Dec 29, 2006 04:51

This has been a decent break, and I assure the reader that it would be better if I had finished the rest of church admin by now, but I haven't so it only looms over my head.

It has been a while, so I am not positive about everything that has happened. The end of the semester was a lot of work, I procrastinated a whole lot. Finals weren't too bad. I woke up late for my first one, and I did alright on that, I think and 88. I got a 95 on the ethics final. The thing I hate is that I only missed one question. Bah! I got 110 on the Hebrew final. I think I got a C on the Theology one. No good.

This means that I got straight B's this semester. Not as good as I would prefer, but I did a lot. I had a job, a sport, student council, roommates, boyfriend, life. It doesn't look like much written, but I felt pretty busy all the time.

I went to the grand reopening of the chick-fil-a on orange blossom. It was quite bizzare actually. I got there at like 9:45 at night, and I was still like number 50 something. Jody and friends went there the night before because they wanted to be the first ones. But I dont think that it finally filled up until like 12 or something. Late anyway. We always thought that one would sell out right away, and alas, it did not. We did not have dinner there, which was a huge disappointment. But there was great entertainment provided by live music including Kenny Bears, the Click boys and Kelly Behrman. In addition there was a huge screen set up and they played such games as DDR and some fake guitar game, which is apparently very popular among those who are "gamers". There was some ice cream as is common at the event, and a few nuggets. We also had s'mores and hot chocolate. I think they were anticipating cold weather, but it didnt really come through. The wonderful thing was that even though they didnt give us breakfast as is customary, we got out at 5:50 instead of 6 or 6:30, meaning I got to go to bed earlier. Also, instead of giving out whole meals, they gave out two sandwiches. Bascially instead of getting 52 whole meals, we got 104 sandwiches. Kind of sad, but free food is free food. I can skip the fries and get a water.

There were some days in there that I dont think had much going on. Last week I had some complications with my stupid boss. I realize that she is a bit overloaded, but she completely forgot that I was in the facility, called all over the place looking for me, and then I was standing right there. I wont go into the details, but it was a ridiculous mess.

Thursday we Christmas for Justin and I. It was a lot of fun. He got me some pajama shorts that I really wanted, and some pj pants too. He also gave me a new coach wallet to go with my purse, and a Lacoste Polo. Dang. I gave him a collection of movies, X-men III, Corpse Bride, and one other one. Also he wanted some star trek animated series, so I got him those. I also got him a set of harmonicas that he wanted, and some pajama pants for him. It was a wlot of fun. Then we went to Maccaroni Grill for dinner.

Friday was a little bit crazy. I ran some errands and then prepared to go home and go to a wedding. I followed the Lups to Abi and Elliot's wedding. It was a long drive, but the wedding was nice. It was winter themed, and instead of the flower girl dropping flowers, she dropped snow. It was cute. They had a nice picture slide show at the beginning. Then we travelled to the reception. It was pretty but by the time we had finally eaten, it was getting late. I followed the Lups to I-75 and then went home. Thankfully it was within 30 minutes to get from there to my house.

Being home was wonderful. Saturday Paige and I got up to go to the mall. I am glad that we went there so early because there was a ton of people there by the time that we left. I bought her a pair of shoes, and my cousin a little ornament. Paige got her boyfriend some shirts, and my mom some neat things. Then we got some pretzel time, because it totally beats auntie annie's and fresh pretzel bites are wonderful. Then we went to Target. That was short, thankfully. I cannot handle all of the people. Most of them are incompitent, and rude because they all want your parking spot and are positive that you are going to take the things that they want. They bump into you and dont apologize and the whole atmosphere stresses me out.

We came back and took naps before the whole family went to a get together at Andy and Kim's house. It was a lot of fun, we had dinner, and a white elephant gift exchange. Then as cliche' as it seems, we sat around and told favorite Christmas memories. It was a nice way to get to know some of their family more, and just be happy.

Church was good on Sunday. I really liked it. We had lunch and then naps. We did some chores and then went to the Chirstmas Eve service at church. It was nice too. We did some more chores to get ready for the upcoming day, and then we got to open some presents, well one each. I got a neat lighted ornament thing from hallmark, apparently they have a lot of different ones of them. I can have a collection.  It was accompanied by a pad of paper with an excellent pen attached. I owned one of those previously, but I used the pen so much that it ran out of ink.

Christmas morning was a lot of fun. Paige waited this year to look in her stocking until I got up. We looked in them together. I had various candies, a self charging flashlight (you never need batteries), some airpressure things for my tires, a really cute charm thing - there was two hearts, one that said Jennifer, and one that said Justin, and you connect them together. I hung it up on my rear view mirror. There were some other odds and ins in there as well.
For Paige I got a pair of shoes that she picked out and the fourth Harry Potter movie.
For my parents I got an electronic picture frame, one that you can load pictures onto and they play a slide show
For my dad (because my mom will probably keep the picture frame in her room) I got the new nooma video, but I didnt come in in time.
From my sister I got my spring supplement and The Little Mermaid. Spring suppliment is an addition to your year book at Pasco highschool. They want the year books to be out before the school year is out, so they just make up extra spring sheets that you can add on. I have been asking her to get the one from my senior year for me for quite some time. The school was supposed to send me a copy, and I never recieved one. I am in it for tennis and at prom, so that was pretty exciting.
From my parents I got a table top grill. It is portable, so i can have a cook out whenever I want.  I also got a lot of accessories to go along with it.
Gilmore girls Season 6 YAY!
Clean movies
candles
calendar planner/organizer
and some cute clothes
Other things that I cannot readily think of right now

My extended family came over for lupper. That was nice too. I got some neat ormaments and gift cards and dollars to spend.

When we got everything cleaned up and relatively back to normal, the four of us watched the second Pirates movie. That was fun, and I got pooped.

Tuesday Paige and I went to see Eragon with our aunt and cousin. That was nice. I had seen the movie already, but I still wanted to hang out and everything, so I went. We also went to Panera. The food was delicious, and Paige had never been there before. I dropped a jones soda bottle on the ground, and although it bounced many times, the end was a large shatter. It was kind of amazing though.

After I washed the rest of my laundry, I drove back to school. There Justin was in a much better mood than initially that morning. He gave me presents from his family.
The bird gave me hair wrap towels
All the animals (10 of them) gave me You've got mail
Cierra and Heather gave me a White Roxy polo with a lot of rainbow colors, but really cute, and an undershirt
And the whole family gave me a big present. Another coach purse. What do I need two for? But it is cute and pink because Justin's mom asked me what I would like and he told her that I wanted something to match with black, and since pink matches black that it would be perfect. It is wonderful.

Then Justin and I went to Wal-Mart (which I hate) and Wendy's (which we will never do again in St. Cloud because the fries were old and the drink mix did not have any syrup in it).

Yesterday and today I had training for Oracle. It is the system that the YMCA uses to track members and create accounts and such. It was a tedious process, but I liked what I learned, because I have looked at that screen so many times before and I found it so overwhelming. But it seems a lot easier now. I look forward to showing off my mad skills now. I was amazed at myself today because I woke up and hour late, but I still managed to shower, do make up, hair, and business appropriate outfits, while making it to the place in downtown Orlando 15 minutes early. Dang. I dont know how it happened, but I think that God might have stopped time for a little but this morning so I could do that. Mad props to the Big Guy.

We tried to go spend some of Justin's gift certificates today. We did use the one for Target and American Eagle, but we were unsuccessful at Barnes and Noble. We ate dinner at Chick-fil-a. Yum. Tomorrow we are headed to Sarasota. Justin gets off earlier than we thought, so his mom invited us to go to diner somewhere and Livingston's (like family fun center on steroids). So we will do that, and then Saturday we are going to the play. I will give more details about that, for I am not positive of the name of the show. Saturday after the play, We will drive to Dade City to stay the rest of the weekend. Great Fun.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too, and a Super Fantabulous New Year!
