How Today Was

Jan 29, 2008 21:49

Well, for a birthday, it wasn't all that bad. Nothing went wrong today. I'm amazed, I totally thought something horrible was going to happen, but as it was, the worst that happened was having to screw around for the better part of an hour trying to get the stuff paid to UPS for actually getting a package. That wasn't so fun, but it was snowing those huge lovely snowflakes that settle on everything and work their way into the fabric so you look like you're wearing white.

Anyways, I definitely watched Sweeney Todd and did no work today. Yeah, I'll have to bust my rear tomorrow, but it's my birthday, I figured there's no way I'm working on my birthday. No work I didn't want to do, anyway. Which wasn't any of it, so I didn't do any work.

Instead, I hung out with Ingrid and Jessica from 11 to noon, then got lunch, then hung out with them some more, then tried to get my package and failed, they wanted either check or money order to pay the customs fees, so I got a money order from the bank, then went back and dropped off the food I got since the grocery is right next to the bank, and then got the package, went back to my room, opened it, unwrapped and organized everything within, then watched three episodes of Voyager and listened to some of the music I got, after which I got a call from Geoff, and then I went to dinner, where I was serenaded by Angie, Marianna, Jeff, Ben, Asumu, Ray, and Monica, and then Alyssa and Jacob showed up later, and then I came back to my room and watched Sweeney Todd, in the middle of which I received a phone call from my parents, which lasted 45 minutes, and then I finished the movie, and now I'm sitting here and seeing how long I can conceivably make a single sentence, which is proving to be quite interesting, since I think that the better part of this entire paragraph is one sentence, and after this I'll probably read Paradise Lost while bathing my ears, and then I'll go to bed, after studying my flash cards and reading the Forsyte Saga.

Holy crap, that was a long sentence. I'm proud of myself. So yeah. That was/is/will be my day. There's not that much else to tell. Except that it rocked. So I'm happy.

AND THERE WERE A MILLION POSTS ON MY WALL ON FACEBOOK. Thanks to everyone who made one, I love you all.

birthday, friends
