Friday night i worked a 9 hour shift and then after i got home we have a small dinner with my family because it was my older sisters birthday tomorrow. We played an awesome game of apples to apples and after i started to pack. I only got about 3ish hours of sleep before i had to get up and take a shower and leave to go to St. Teds. Originally i wasn't supposed to drive but i ended up having to because we where one seat short. The weather sucked so our drive to detroit took close to 2 hours ( that includes getting lost along the way because i decided to follow everyone). We finally got our hotel rooms at the Marriott located inside the Renaissance building. The cool part was i was an adult in training (if i was only a few more months older i could have gone as an adult). During the modules the Amy, Mark and i went back to the rooms and grabbed a little nap. After our general session the adults decided to order pizza instead of going out. The pizza guy called Amy's cell and told her he was almost there and that he was going to be in the section of the hotel called winter gardens. So Mark and i left and headed down, well once we go there we ended up waiting for the guy because we couldn't find him. The pizza guy called again and asked where we where in the main lobby so we thought we where supposed to go to the main lobby. Once we got to the main lobby we noticed that there was no way for the pizza guy to get into this part of the building from outside so i tried called the phone number to the pizza shop. Low and behold the phone number is either disconnected or out of order (strange huh?). Well that hole fiasco we ended up wasting our 2 hours and the kids ended up not eating anything until a little while later (it kinda sucks when you only have 1 meal around 10:30 and then not eating until 8:30). Later that night we surprised Erik with a cake because it was his birthday (the same day as Kendall). Around midnight everyone was in their rooms and i was in my room with Erik, Ted, Mark. Since i was an adult i was allowed leave my room so erik asked me if he could sneak out and grab a pop from the vending machine (a couple feet away). I said sure only if you don't get caught, well i left the room and started to walk around the hallway and erik slipped out to go get something. Just as he left another adult that was stationed for night watch came running around the corner to catch whoever was sneaking out and since i was in charge of that room the only thing i could do to not make myself look bad was to jump around and make it seem like i actually caught him in the act. Erik didn't like that too much and he made sure i knew that when i got back to the room. Around 1:30 i had to go up to floor 49 to relieve Mark from night watch, i was only there for 12 mins when one of the guys came up and asked if anyone was making any noise and since there wasn't he said i could go back to the room. Upon my arrival the lights where turned down low and when i came in everyone was awake and just bring really quiet. It was a good thing i cheeked my bed because it was covered in shaving cream everywhere, even in weird places you wouldn't think of. Well to get erik back i got him with shaving cream everywhere and then i hit Ted with some lotion all over his face from the basket of complimentary items. Since everyone except Mark got something all over them Erik decided to pour a hole tube of toothpaste on his face. We finally went to bed around 3:20 and had to be up the next day at 7 (not good when you only got around 3 hour of sleep the night before) good thing they had amazing soft down filled pillows(a souvenir i brought back). Later that day us adults walked around while everyone else was in session and to my surprise we found out that 3 of our kids skipped out of one of their sessions. We confronted them later that night right when we where going to leave home. we drove home as quick as we could even though it took a little more time as usual because it was night and it was also the end of the auto show. All in all i had a fun weekend despite a few things, but no complaints.
