GOODNESS! I can do it though. I just need to stay focused.
In other news:
I went to our RCAH plenary tonight. This uuber famous anthropologist was the speaker.
The subject he talked about was truth; like when it is right and wrong to with hold the truth.
He talked about times where the government has either lied or chosen to ignore the truth.
It blew my mind.
The UN knew about the Rwandan genocide before it happened. They refused to call it genocide and chose not to intervene for who the hell knows why.
So, within 100 days 800,000 men, women, and children were slaughtered by their friends and neighbors with machetes.
THAT is why I don't ever want to be a part of the political machine. I will do as much as I can, as an individual, to help people. But I am not about to rely on political institutions and be subject to their decisions.
