Hey guys,
It once again has been forever (more than a year) since i've been active on LJ, or the whole sims community in general. I kind of dissapeared last year without any explanation and I'm sorry. The sims community has been a big part of my life ever since 2009. It was a place for me to express myself during times in my life where I felt excluded and alone. Everyone has always been so nice and it felt great to communicate with people around the world that all shared a similar intrest.
I just wanted to let you all know that I'm really thankful that I got to be part of such a great community for such a long time, but that I do not plan on coming back until after I finish high-school. (within 1.5 years)
I have been getting really sim-envy recently, but I don't own a computer that is capable of playing sims atm because I know it will interfere with my school work.
With that being said; I have gathered a bunch of pictures of my pre-historic sims3 days that date back to early 2010 and I wanted to share them with you because then we can all laugh at me and my hideous sims.
With that being said; let's get right into it!
Holy shit I just found this picture on my sims3 account and it is my legit first sim ever on ts3.
I'm having a moment.
I remember playing for the first time on an old e-machine (
this one exactly) and it couldn't handle ts3 at all. It messed up the patterns and just kind of changed everything into rainbow colors.
I ended up getting my own laptop that could render patters. I created Greene Green (such an original name wow) and she was the founder of my first ever legacy posted on the internet. EVER. She is the one that started my obsession with posting legacies and I love her for it. :3
Of course she married Stiles McGraw. He was like the Sunset Valley hottie.
They had like 7000 children just like everybody elses first ever legacy family did actually they only had 6 because of the maximum houshold capacity thing.
Their daughter Tree became heiress and had a bazillion babies herself.
Anyway I will spare you the rest of the Green family photos because they are really bad and I am cringing.
I remember creating this sim right after I purchased late night. His name was Philip Crumpet and he was my first ever legacy to be posted on live journal :3
My legacies prior to this one had always been posted on ts3 website. Yeesh. Talk about out-dated.
He married this lovely lady who's name escapes me.
I had alot of fun experimenting with the new late night related options in Bridgeport. Of course he had to become a vampire.
Duh. How could I resist?
They had twin girls (one was named Marno I think) with the help of the fertility treatment aspiration thingy that I used to be obsessed with before I developed a hatred for multiples.
My editing skills were non-existent in 2010.
wat
This was back when I only had about 10 cc items and they were all shit quality.
Interior decorating has never really been my thing.
I remember being really proud of this house though. I got inspired by a country living magazine and this was the out-come...
:/
Philip and his wife had another child whos name Dahlia...?
She became heiress.
And she married a creepy dude with a mullet.
I've always been a horrible simmer.
Anyway they had a ginger child and he looked pretty ordinary.
That is all I have left of the Crumpets.
After that I had this really weird legacy that I made right after buying the generations EP. It was short-lived and I only have about 6 pictures left of them. I don't even remember what her name was. Whoops.
One of them is this and holy mother of god what is this monstrosity that I called a house.
I remember being heavily inspired by the Marx Legacy (
legendarysims). It used to be my all time favorite legacy to read, but she hasn't posted since 2012 :(
Geez it's been a while.
Anyway she had four kids
1
2
3
4
Then came the Zipper's which are actually still online if you check my archive.
They were a crazy bunch and I endend up with alot of love for this save file <3
Shiloh became heiress as you all may or may probably not remember.
My building/decorating skills were slowly getting better at this point.
Rhonda :(
During the second gen of this legacy I started downloading cc which made my sims look more appealing as you can all seeeee
I bought showtime and continued downloading cc and it made my game look so much nicer.
LOOK HOW CUTE THIS SIM IS.
Even with the help of cc I was still a shitty decorator.
I kind of went cc crazy and it ended up negatively affecting my game..
These plate replacments have haunted me ever since I first downloaded them.
Then came this really short-lived legacy which never got past the first update..
She's really pretty tho.
omigod I love her face. Go me.
It was at this point that I uninstalled all my build/buy cc and it kind of improved my game quality.
Btw the hula lamp is my all time favorite thing in ts3. Just saying.
That concludes this recap post. I hope you all liked it, it certainly got my feels going.
I hope we can all agree that my sims have come a long way.
This is a game that I have enjoyed playing for more that 10 years and that is something that will never change. I hope I continue playing once I graduate high-school and am in college or whatever I end up doing.
I bid you all adieu, but you might see me pop up in a couple of years playing the sims 4 :)
Oh. And. I plan on leaving some comments on the legacies I'm reading on LJ so I'm not completly gone from the communtiy.
