Weekend vacation
So in the midst of all of it, I take a day or so off. I did the midnight of X-Men First Class (nice), then did work and drove straight to Peoria area. Met up with the folks, did X-Men with Dad, then met up with Russ and Aaron. It was the first time the three of use were in the same county even since the holidays. It was good to chill with them again. Hung out with the folks, caught up on sleep, and all in all just recharged.
Odd dream while I remember remnants - Sat night in the 'rents' house. Had a dream about L, of all people. Entered into a house, she saw me on the top landing when I entered. Long story short, she yelled at me for a long while. Don't really remember what it was. Maybe I had entered her space or something. Strange. Anyway, enough of that. Aside from the fact that she came up in converstaion tonight, not dealing with that shit. Although hearing from someone else that they think the current beau is a dick made me smile.
Sunday did brunch and headed back. Helped move HHT to the District Theatre, then had tech. It's gonna be a good show. Glad to be involved.
James' birthday is today (formerly tomorrow). Went to Steve's for it, had nice chats all around. I really love these people, they're all wonderful and I'm glad their in my lives.
So I guess in the long run I'm just fortunate. Fortunate that I have the connections, the locations, the friends, the family, the Arts. It makes me glad. I'm living a pretty good life, with pretty good people. And even when I get fried, I can still find joy and take a day or two to get back into it.
Time for the summer long haul - STNY, JCS. Then a break. Let's do this.
