Am I correct in guessing that I am the first of us to get a DUI?
Am I also correct in guessing that it really isn't any surprise to anyone that it was me?
Ok, so thank god i actually didnt get a DUI. I was driving from my house in Aptos, back to my parents in Corralitos at like 10:30. I'd had two beers around 8, I was in no way drunk or intoxicated at all. I get pulled over by where Valencia comes onto Freedom, I didn't even think about the fact that I'd drank. The cop said my headlight was out, checked out all my info, and asked if I'd had anything to drink, to which of course i said no. He asked me to get out and go over to his female cop partner. She ran a bunch of physical tests, and i passed them all. They then said they were gonna give me a breathalizer, and wanted to know if i was sticking to have not been drinking, so i said no I'd had two beers around 8. I just barely didnt pass the thing, it was like .03, which would've been legal if I was 21. The cop said it was his disgression and he wouldn't press charges, but I did have to have my dad come pick me up and got my car towed. He does have to report it to DMV, so there's like a 50/50 chance I'll loose my liscense for 6 months. He also asked if there was anything in the car that was illegal before it got impounded, and i was like, "Ugh, I think there's a half rotten apple in the dash with like a tiny bit of weed in it." "Have you been smoking tonight?" "No, that's like months old." "So what you're telling me is that there is an unidentified green leafy substance in a burnt apple in your glove box, which you aren't admitting to what it is, that would be better if not in the car when impounded?" "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying." "Ok then."
