3. Character Information II
Age/Appearance: Although he starts his journey to Bete Noire at sixteen, Riku grows into his eighteenth year in searching. In doing so, he grows into a more mature body with more muscular arms and legs. His pale skin doesn't grow any darker as he grows about five inches (oddly enough, his longer hair seems to take on a lighter sheen). He's abandoned his white and yellow vest by then, wandering with a black zipper shirt and jeans. Properly fitting jeans.
History: Here, at the Kingdom Hearts Wikipedia.
Personality: Riku is mostly the quiet, thoughtful person in the outspoken group. Ask him his opinon, and he'll give it to you--but unless something is truly, truly important to him, he might stay in the background much more than usual. He's not very good at cheering anyone up that he doesn't know as a close friend; get ready for awkward if he tries. Maybe he'll succeed, because he can make speeches just like Sora can, but it's rare that he can actually say what he wants to say, without slipping up. He varies between completely sarcastic and offensive to very serious and down-to-earth when it comes to giving advice, stranger or friend. He cares very deeply about his friends; if you’re ever lucky enough to become friends with him, you can know that he’ll never betray you.

The only exception to this rule is when he needs to betray you for your own good, if you were in danger because you were associated with him. Riku doesn't care if his life is on the line--if yours is, it's worth protecting over his. Not that he'll tell you. He'll just sashay off afterwards and tell you not to get into trouble. (Talk about mixed feelings.) Riku is branded as the twilight-the road to dawn, if you will-the grey area between good and evil, light and darkness. Despite his outer appearance (his hair is as silver as your grandma's), he acts like any other teenager would in his situation. He usually covers his more adolescent instincts by silence or deep thoughts, however, and normally doesn’t let anyone inside of his thought process. It's only if you're close to him, that he'll let you inside his mind, inside his very heart. Even then, he'd be wary. Most people that talk to him should expect a pause or more physical responses to their questions or comments--he knows that if he says something, he can't take it back.

Actions speak louder than words, right? If he just does an action instead of saying something... maybe'll work out better that way.

Riku, all in all, is mostly a loner, even though he has very good friends that would stick by him through thick and thin. He’d rather be in the background, watching them instead of being the hero all the time, which he was technically destined to be. Although he is the true wielder of the Keyblade, Riku lets Sora have his place, instead of fighting for it even after their confrontation in the first game. He'd really rather help guide Sora to the villains and be unnoticed, unseen, un... thanked. Riku is a foil to Sora; while his best friend is peppy and sees black and white, Riku is serious and sees all the shades in between.

The wielder of Way to the Dawn doesn't believe that he deserves the friendship of his two best friends. In his eyes, he betrayed them so thoroughly that he was willing to pretend to be Xehanort's Heartless to Sora's face, instead of confessing that he was Riku. He didn't want Sora to find him. Although he fought to protect and make him whole again, even if he helped Kairi and gave her a Keyblade, he wanted to be apart from his friends. No matter how many times Sora forgives him, Riku will always have that lingering thought in the back of his head that tells him that he doesn't deserve such a pure friendship. He needs to atone for so much more, in his eyes.

Sexual Preferences/Orientation: Riku hasn't really thought about it; after all, battling the darkness in his heart and making sure Sora stays on track is much more important to him. Riku is prone to not get in any relationships, because he's wary of letting someone he loves down, betraying them, or hurting them. You couldn't exactly call it 'being asexual'--he probably doesn't mind being with either gender--it's actually getting him to think he's good enough to be with them, or that they're strong enough to endure it if he hurts them. Another guy might easily convince him, since he does think that guys are generally stronger than girls (no offense to girls, it's how most guys are brought up to think, and Riku was too). Whoever it is, they should be able to answer his 'why' when he asks; he doesn't know why anyone besides his best friends would want to be around him.

Powers: Riku has the base power of darkness, which isn't very easily controlled. Even after he was expelled from the dark realm thanks to Ansem the Wise's machine exploding, darkness still festers in his body. Thanks to the explosion, however, he has a little more light than he had before, when he set out on the path to dawn. It's not known if he can actually control it, so it won't be used as such if he's accepted.

Reason for playing: Riku, as a character, is one of the people that you'd say Completely Fucked Up their life. Instead of falling deeper, like most of the villains in Square-Enix and Final Fantasy, he gets back on his feet and redeems himself in his friends eyes. Did he redeem himself in his eyes? ... probably not, no, and I think that's the most interesting thing to play out with him. Many people don't think he's deserving of the hell he puts himself through--but he does.

5. Samples
First-Person: [... a PDA. Really? It's taken a while for Riku to get to the voice section.]

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Guess to a lot of people, it isn't.

I need to get back. There might be--

[Out of nowhere, the PDA goes offline. It takes a few minutes for the the transmission to finish, even if he's gasping, probably in pain. Instead of being calm like he was before, he sounds angry, maybe a little freaked out.]

Where the heck is this place?

Third-Person: In a way, it reminded of Hollow Bastion. Maybe that was a bad thing to compare it to.

Maybe it wasn't. Peeling paint, decaying bricks... Where's the castle? he thought bitterly to himself, pushing his long hair behind his shoulder. If this place had a Restoration Comittee, it'd be much better off... but Riku wasn't one to judge a city, even if it gave him a familiar bad feeling. He walked through, hands pushed to the very bottom of his pockets, seagreen eyes attracted to the ground. This was the place where the path lead? He paused, feeling a discomfort. A familiar discomfort. His heart was beating fast, but not because he was running--he could even feel his limbs shaking. Xehanort's Heartless was no longer in his heart nor in his head... it was weird--no, frightening--to feel as if the hole he had left was starting to burn.

He felt like releasing all of his dark energy. To destroy, like had before. It wasn't that hard, after all! He had done it before, plunged his own world into complete darkness, forsaken all of his friends--!

Riku coughed hard as if that would expel the darkness trying to take over. It wasn't long before he felt himself running, running to the nearest shelter and slamming the door shut.

No, not even that would keep it out.

Third-Person #2: Shirt above head. (For the other guy, anyway, Riku's was easily unzipped and pushed down his arms.)

Pants to the floor.

Shoes kicked off.

In retrospect, Riku should've through this over better. He was pinned against a wall and a hard place (hahaha, he could think of puns even while he was about to be pounded into a bed he didn't know, how hilarious) and he probably wouldn't be the dominant one. Re: pinned against a wall. He tried to think logically--he was new to this... guy and guy thing. He was a virgin. He had never touched anyone this way in his entire life. (And according to church, hey, masterabation was awful. He didn't want to be sent to double Hell, if that was even possible.) Besides, the blond above him didn't even hesitate to take charge, and it... felt... good. It felt good to not be the dominant one for once. He was always the strongest one, no matter how quiet he was, he was the one fending off bullies.

He shuddered audibly as the older man pressed kisses down his throat, nipping every now and then. Riku could already feel himself getting hard against the abdomen pressing against him incessently... if he kept biting him, oddly enough, Riku had the suspicious feeling that he'd release. Was biting supposed to feel good? The blond man bit down considerably harder than before, pressing his length underneath Riku's. His head didn't have very far to go, but if it did, his neck would've completely relaxed and hung back. That felt so good--

And the wall was gone, replaced by a bed. ... this was the part Riku was more than nervous about, even if his pale face concealed his feelings. Before the man got near his ass, Riku flipped and did something he swore he'd never, ever do. He envloped the man's cock with his mouth as far as he could go, hands shaky on his thighs. He had no idea what to really do, but when he walked around the city, sometimes he caught a woman doing this to a man. He'd try to mimic her actions as best he could... he almost choked when thick fingers swirled through his silver hair, and tugged.

Did people have a radar for sensitive spots, or was he just easy to figure out?
