Stumbled across the blog Tokyo Scum Brigade, and have been having a grand time sifting through. Found that apparently a TV adaption of Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth aired on TBS in Japan in the early '90s.

Me: The Innsmouth Look is very well done.
Brendan: oh, they cast it entirely with Gloucester townies? ;)
Me: Ooooh, burn. XD
Brendan: I kid, I kid. We all know it's about Rockport anyway.... ;)
The post is over here, with video and summary. Honestly, I rather like it, certainly more than any other adaption of HPL's I've seen (barring the silent film version of The Call of Cthulhu of course).
