The Powerpuff Girls "Dance Pantsed" - I liked the brocolini and the dance-off, but it wasn't the strongest PPG outing. I wonder where Powerpuff Girls falls on the Cartoon Network popularity scale? It was one of the firsts, and the merchandising was ridiculous, but I feel like Ed, Edd, N Eddy may've surpassed Powerpuff Girls in the late 90's as their network tentpole (that was a show they kept alive for a while). And then Ben 10 came along.

Dads "Bully Gene" - So a series turning point or just a fluke?

Parks And Recreation "Farmers Market" - That was a good rant, and you've got a great point with the line "Pop culture has stopped reflecting behavior and started dictating it." That's very true in a lot of cases, but I did think this episode had a point. Sometimes all women want is sympathy and all men hear is "Fix the problem". I saw a funny video once about a woman with a pencil stuck in her brain and she was complaining about having a headache and all the pain and her boyfriend kept suggesting she remove the pencil and she kept getting angry that he was trying to fix things and not listening to her. I will say Ann should've told Chris her issue right from the start, though. Leslie's crusade was funny, as was the way she and Ben kept trying to work within the rules they set.

Dracula "Four Roses" - This show has gotten GOOD. All your complaints about how stupid a move Dracula made are valid. I'm kind of wondering how much control Dracula has over the vampires he turns, though. He can easily keep Lucy in check if that's how the rules work here. If they are closer to Buffy rules, then Lucy is a loose cannon and everyone is in trouble.

The Powerpuff Girls: There is no contest. Powerpuff put CN on the map. Ed, Edd, N Eddy didn't even have any merchandise although to be fair I can't imagine any kid wanting toys of those repulsive looking characters.

Dads: Fluke. My next two reviews will make that clear. And to be honest the episode was still pretty terrible because it was badly written and I still hated all of the characters. I just gave it three stars because I laughed a few times.

Parks And Recreation: I don't think that just because a LOT of women don't want to fix their problems that ALL women don't. That's all I'm saying. I am VERY proud of that Parks and Rec review so I'm glad you noticed that it was particularly good. I'm starting to get better at this reviewing stuff. My Simpsons Season 16 review will be epic.

Dracula: Hey, you're right. We DON'T know if Drac can control other vampires. If that's the case next season should be interesting (Assuming there is one).

How far along into Doctor Who are you now? I'll repost my reviews once you are caught up.

Actually, I remember seeing at least one piece of Ed, Edd and Eddy merch. It was one of those table-tennis rackets with a ball attached to it with elastic.

...of course, playing with it would involve repeatedly bashing the characters with a rubber ball, so you might still haev a point there.

The characters in that show (and the animation) were all butt-ugly and the screechy voices made the series unwatchable. I have no idea why it was so popular.

The Powerpuff Girls: Having merchandise in the equation does put PPG WAY over EEnE, but it's just weird how they cared more about the longevity of Ed, Edd, N Eddy. Powerpuff Girls ran from 1998 to 2004. EEnE premiered just a year later in 1999 but ran all the way until 2009.

Dads: Gotcha. Three stars by Dads standards.

Parks And Recreation: Yeah, totally agreed.

Dracula: I feel like this show kind of takes for granted the fact that people already know the general gist of vampire lore and how it works, but they can sort of make their own rules.

Can you believe it took me over a month to finish Torchwood? Seven disks! About to start the first Sarah Jane

PPG: I can't believe EEnE got good enough ratings to justify a ten year run. It certainly wasn't as big a show as SpongeBob, Powerpuff Girls, Rugrats, or even Fairly OddParents. CN is weird.

Dads The season finale will get the first positive grade I've ever given the show.

Dracula: Yeah, I didn't even take into account the fact that Drac has special vampire controlling powers.

Doctor Who: Keep going. After that go to Doctor Who Season Three.

Side-note: Wasn't the first season of Torchwood absolutely terrible? I cannot get over how bad it was. I don't blame you for taking so long to get through it. Sarah Jane will be easier and I'm betting you fly through season three of Doctor Who too.

PPG: They really are weird.

As for Torchwood, the shift into a more adult territory was jarring and the characters made me kind of uncomfortable...especially Owen, but even Gwen eventually. I keep hearing how cool Ianto is, but he doesn't do much. And Jack wasn't what I was expecting after his first appearance.

Ianto is way overrated. I can't believe Davies thought it would be a good idea to make him such a blubbering mess in his first major story. Owen is a rapist. Full stop. Gwen sucks too but she didn't suck as much after season 1. Season 1 of Torchwood was the worst Whoniverse season of all time (including anything in the Sixth Doctor's tenure). Season 2 wasn't much better but it had one excellent episode (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang) and James Marsters. Torchwood didn't start to get good until Children of Earth and Miracle Day. The latter was really underrated.

Yeah, Owen is a rapist, I still don't understand why Sci-Fi/Fantasy writers don't understand how squicky this stuff is (with the exception of Warren on Buffy). I'm glad Gwen gets better, there's a lot of potential in her. Season 1 of Torchwood was still watchable, I'm glad it gets better.

I think Russell T Davies is probably just a creep in real life. Speaking of "Dead Things" did you see the Sif episode of Agents of SHIELD? I can't believe after the statement Joss made with Warren in Buffy Season Six that he would actually go there and not call what happened what it actually was. I was pretty much appalled by that episode especially since it came from Mutant Enemy.
