Arrow "Legacies" - I love the very grounded Year One approach this show is taking. A real life vigilante would only have a single target and then that's it, right? Well, Oliver has multiple, so he has to keep going out and hunting down the men on the list. He was so obsessed with that, why should bank robbers cross his mind? It's great that they actually took an episode to address that fact ( ... )

Arrow: Fair enough. I'm just surprised it never DID cross his mind.

Grimm: THERE'S a silver lining for ya! :)

The Simpson "Penny Wiseguys": Best guest star in years. By far.

Family Guy "Yug Ylimaf": The only reason I can think of is that reboots are all the rage these days. Even Matt Groening threatened one for Futurama when it returned.

Family Guy "Joe's Revenge": Sometimes the simplest approach is the best.

American Dad: Remember the episode of Lost where Charlie found that small plane crashed in the jungle loaded with Virgin Mary statues stuffed with herion that turned out to belong to Mr. Eko's dead brother? The plane crash in the forest reminded me of that.

Parks And Recreation: It truly does. And you KNOW the writers would do it too. Leslie is an equal opportunity suck-up (see the picture of Sarah Palin next to Hillary Clinton in the early episodes).

Family Guy "Yug Ylimaf": The funny thing is, it'd be impossible to tell what's been rebooted unless there's a MAJOR change to the show. I remember people thinking it was going to happen during "Stewie Kills Lois", but nope.

American Dad: Oh yeah, I see it now.

Parks And Recreation: Yeah, they would've.

Family Guy: True, true.

Parks And Recreation: It's been hinted at that Leslie is a Democrat but the writers do her a real disservice by always having her be wowed by Republicans too. Just because someone is IN Government doesn't mean they are good for it. Since Leslie believes in Government so strongly they shouldn't have her looking up to people who want to drown it in a bathtub.

I kind of agree with that in terms of Leslie, but at the same time, I don't want her leaning too far in any direction just for the sake of isolating some of the audience.

I could care less about the Republicans in the audience. Family Guy and The Simpsons aren't afraid to take liberal stances on a variety of issues and they're stronger shows for it. I'm tired of most TV being so gutless for fear of what conservatives might say. Heaven forfend.

Sorry, I'm not mad at you but after hearng all of the looney right-wing conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton's blood clot my hackles about the right-wing are officially raised. These morons don't deserve a SHRED of consideration.

Family Guy and the Simpsons are silly, though. I agree that right-wing nuts don't deserve consideration, but not everyone is a right-wing nut. I prefer my characters to be moderate or politically ambiguous so it's more about the issues than what party they belong to. During the 2008 election, DC released a mini-series depicting how their characters vote, and it was horrible. They were wise enough NOT to give Superman an affiliation, but for the most part, everyone else just looked bad. So yeah, with a comedy show that has a government backdrop, I'd rather they err on the side of caution.

Parks and Recreation is silly too. About the DC voting thing: Let me guess: Batman voted for McCain. DC are a bunch of morons.

Parks and Rec is silly, but it's a lot harder to separate Amy Poehler from Leslie Knope than it is, say, Dan Castellanetta from Homer Simpson. And again, because Parks and Rec deals in government, I think it does need to be more careful about its political statements than a show about a cartoon family, that can go and do something else next week.

They had Bruce Wayne endorsing the Republican candidate because it was "expected" of him or something equally stupid. It was a poor idea and poor execution. One of the worst mini's I've ever read.

Parks And Recreation: Respectfully, I don't agree with the idea that because it's live-action it needs to be more careful about it's political statements. That's certainly conventional wisdom by network executives but I have yet to see any evidence that it is true put into practice. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report do just fine and they never worry about offending conservatives. Parks and Rec doesn't need to be so gutless about it.

Right, because Batman ALWAYS does what is expected. What a bunch of morons.

Parks And Recreation: Hm, maybe not because it's live action but because it's on primetime TV. The Daily Show and Colbert Report are MEANT to be political and offend conservatives, but they're on cable. If Parks and Recs had that kind of audience, there's no way it could stay on competing with other Thursday night shows. First and foremost, the show is there to make as many people laugh as it can.
