I saw the commercial for the new Adam Sandler movie "That's My Boy"

Apparently child rape is funny now. Ugh.

And I want to give a special shout-out to Family Guy for setting the precedent in comedy. Adam Sandler (and yes, Seth MacFarlane) suck.

Is he still more popular than Mr. Burns?

I don't understand the popularity of ANY of the comedians from that particular era of SNL. With the exception of Chris Rock and possibly Julia Sweeney every single performer from that period is terrible. David Spade and Rob Schneider are just as unfunny. And it may be wrong to hate on the dead but Chris Farley was the unfunniest of all. Adam Sandler sucks but he already keeps terrible company.

Oh, Sandler, your attempts to be still relevant and edgy make you...seriously not funny.

I am seriously rethinking rewriting my long ago completed but not yet posted review of Bob's Burgers Season One. That had some child molester humor in it too but I actually thought the way they went about it (the kids were the ones cracking the jokes) was funny. Maybe that was wrong. But perhaps I should save it for posterity and post it as is to show that even I can fall for tasteless jokes if they aren't done as cheaply as MacFarlane and Sandler tell them.

Eh, anything can be funny, comedians joke about rape, murder, 9/11, whatever makes an audience laugh. It can't be wrong if it makes you laugh, although I am wondering what the joke was.

Wait, I'm wrong...not ANYTHING can be funny...certainly not Adam Sandler these days.

The little girl Louise wrote on the chalkboard that the Burger of the Day was "The Child Molester" (it comes with candy). It was revealed that someone actually ordered it. Bob decided he didn't want Louise to serve that particular customer so sent his young son Gene to do it instead. Gene says "Wait, how come I'VE got to get molested?" Bob says "You're heavy, he won't molest you." Gene says "I'm VERY molestable!" and Louise squeezed his cheeks and says "Who wouldn't want to molest this face?"

H. Jon Benjamin, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal's performances are what sold the scene. Although after seeing the Sandler trailer I feel ashamed about laughing at it.
