"Eh, I like teen drama. Or at least, in some doses. Teen Titans was off the wall, sure, but the oddest thing I found about it was how their hormones were barely a blip on the radar. I like how Peter doesn't necessarily have a one true love (I think he'd be better with Liz than anyone at this point), and of course, they're dealing with Harry's drug abuse in a good way."

I don't look for teen drama when I watch Superhero cartoons. I put up with it on Buffy because it was so well done, but I'm pretty sick of it at this point.

"Agreed about Simpsons. Nelson kind of reminded me of Barney and his film, though."

They shouldn't have had Nelson's film end with the word "Fin". Too close for comfort and seemed more like a rip-off than an homage.

"Agreed about Hank, which is surprising. I liked the set up to it, but as soon as they went to the guy's house and he attacked them, Hank should've just dropped the wallet and left. Why was Hank even afraid of that guy? He looked like a wimp!"

It was plot related stupidity. One of the things I HATE about King of the Hill (and this applies to some episodes of new Simpsons) is that they will oftentimes make their characters uncharacteristically stupid for a cheap laugh. It's not as annoying on new Simpsons because that isn't a show that prides itself on realism as KotH does. But every week on King of the Hill characters that I once had a decent amount of respect for turn out to be complete idiots simply to move the plot forward.

"I liked Chris' story on FG too. Honestly, if Brian becomes the new Meg, I wouldn't mind."

He kind of needs to be at this point. He's done so many crummy things recently that he's completely unsympathetic. I think Meg sometimes gets a bum rap myself. Sure, she's shallow and annoying but she honestly doesn't deserve all of the crap thrown at her. Brian is thoroughly earning his humiliations.

"I used to hate Stan, but a lot of the time, they'll give an explanation for why he is, like setting him against Roger. It worked well."

I think you're supposed to hate Stan. That just makes the episodes where he's actually sympathetic that much more enjoyable.

"Smallville totally dropped the ball! I was expecting Krypton and the Kents, but nothing. What do you mean about Cordelia disrespect, though? I'd understand if they completely dropped her after season 4, but I thought "Your Welcome" was a good send off (and I'm saying this under the assumption that it was certain Charisma Carpenter wouldn't be back on the show)."

You're Welcome was a good send-off for Cordy but the producers obviously had no idea whether she'd be back or not at the tail end of season four. Making her a badly conceived villain and that then spends the latter part of the season in a coma was disrespectful to both the character, and I imagine Charisma Carpenter. Yes, she got a better send-off in season five but if the actress hadn't agreed to come back for one episode we never would have gotten it.

The thing about Spider-Man is he did invent the (solo) teen superhero concept, so it's an important aspect of his character and history.

Agreed about King of the Hill. Sometimes their characterization can get a little rocky.

You're supposed to hate Stan but still find him entertaining. I think it took American Dad a while before they found that balance.

They were disrespectful to Cordelia, but I think they didn't want to give Charisma Carpenter too much to do just because of all that goes in to having a baby. Cordy being a villain didn't work, but I'm just glad we got "You're Welcome".

I don't have to like it though.

She wasn't pregnant by the end of the season. It was a disrespectful send-off to have her spend the last couple of episodes passed out on the floor.

I don't know how it works for actresses, but from my experience, the bulk of maternity leave is taken after the woman gives birth. I do agree with you about the passed out on the floor thing, though.

Yeah, they should have given her a goodbye scene with Angel at least.
