Family Guy and American Dad Reviews (Spoilers)
Family Guy "McStroke"
This was one of the worst episodes I've seen in years. No really funny gags outside of Peter wearing Brian as a mustache. But the story was all over the map and made little sense. It was about Peter wearing a mustache, then no, it's about Peter having a stroke, then no, it's about a talking cow. What were the writers thinking? The ONLY amusing part of the episode was Stewie in high school but that story fizzled out by the end too. This was the worst episode in a while. *.
American Dad "Tearjerker"
THIS on the other hand was outstanding. GREAT Bond parody. I love that this show isn't afraid to do a wacky out-of-continuity episode just because it's funny. Roger's "Oscar Gold" movie was absolutely brilliant as was his description of his next film (six hours of a baby chimp trying to revive his dead mother). This show has been kicking Family Guy's butt for awhile now. It's hard to believe it was considered awful in it's first season (even though it was). *****.
