I haven't gotten season three of Teen Titans yet. I'm too bothered by the fact that Beast Boy is on the cover (he should've been on the cover of 2, Cyborg should be on 3).
I want to go back and watch all the episodes where Robin does his leader thing. I feel like there's some sort of pattern to his intensity/easing off, but I don't quite know it yet.
Cyborg and Raven must be opposites. Cyborg spotlights suck, but he's always great in the group. I agree with what you said about Raven, she's a great character, but we only tend to see those in spotlight episodes, whereas otherwise she can come off as one dimensional.
Deception - The Titans don't seem to think undercover stuff is wrong if they're doing it for the right reasons. Aside from the danger Cyborg put himself in, I don't see any problem with it. I liked DiMaggio's Blood, even if he sounded a bit like Drakken.
Betrothed - We needed a third and final Blackfire episode. I liked this, though. "Koriand'r" is said somewhere in the ep, yes?
Revolution - Fun episode, but nothing tops "Mad Mod" for me.
Wavelength - I hated Bumblebee in this episode, but I came to like her later (she was pretty good in "For Real"). Part of what turned me off to her was the way she beat Blood's control, which was stupid.
The Beast Within - This was a long time coming for Beast Boy, he gets a pass for acting like a cretin.
Bunny Raven - Mumbo's song may very well be my favorite musical bit in any superhero cartoon.
Titans East - I love Titans East (the team not the episodes). I'm glad that Speedy got his own personality, and Mas Y Menos are great. As for the two-parter finale, it was pretty weak.
I disagree about Raven only coming off as two dimensional in spotlights. Aftershock Part 1 and her anger at Terra was some of her greatest character stuff ever.
Deception: WHEN have the Titans ever done undercover stuff before this episode? I can't think of a single example.
The Beast Within: I can agree with this. But Robin doesn't.
Bunny Raven: Best original song, yes. But Am I Blue gets a ten on the awesome scale.
I shouldn't have said *only* in spotlights, Raven is good in some other episodes too. I just feel that in many episodes that don't focus on her, she's just there to spout off the occasional sarcastic comment.
I guess for undercover, I was just thinking about "Masks"...which wasn't all that effective anyway...and then later on in "Employee of the Month", if that even counts.
"Am I Blue" was awesome, but it loses points for not being a complete song. Batman in the spotlight is a great visual, but "Master of Your Fate" had so many off the wall sight gags.
