So...I ended up sleeping through my alarm clock, and arriving to CNA class 22 minutes late (my father was nice enough to give me a ride). This would usually not be a problem for any class, but for this class it is a huge problem. Why? The curriculum is state and federally-written, and there are state and federal mandates dictating just how many hours I am to spend in class; therefore, if I miss so much as one minute, I will fail the course unless I make up the time.
Thankfully, I have a very gracious instructor who is letting me make up the 22 minutes by sitting in the classroom for exactly 22 minutes after class, which ends at 12:30 PM. Those 22 minutes are now up, so I can go back to the main campus now.
As for my alarm clock, I may have to get a new one. About every two to three years, I become sensitized to the buzz on my current alarm clock. It's been about three years since I last bought one, so now is about the right time for it. The only problem is I cannot afford a new one right away, so my father is going to give me a call from work every morning at 6:00 AM to make sure I am awake. Thank goodness for that; I hope I can get an alarm clock at the end of the week.
That's it for now. I'll keep you all posted.
