Screaming in the darkness
                   calling, crying....cunning
Horrifying in its intensity
                   perilous, powerful.... painfull
Patiently awaiting its prey
                   waiting, watching.... wanting

It wants to slaughter sanity with reckless abandon
A contradicting paradox that scrambles thought
Changing reality within a moment
Days change, beauty,  peace to madness, mayhem

Lusting for the negative
                   grabbing, grinding.... garbage
Sadistically melting the soul
                   biting, breaking.... burning
Torment that can be broken
                   fighting, feeling.... fleeing

Humility, courage, acceptance the key
Spirituality is the power in which to be free
My god strengthens my heart, so that just for today
He will help me keep the Beast at bay
