The Recovery E.P.

Over the past 3 weeks my band and I have been working on our first E.P. We are nearing the completion of this E.P. and I am quite excited. I am quite excited at the results I came into the recording process with little or no expectations and honestly that was the most liberating approach to any artistic undertaking I've ever been a part of. We self recorded and are self releasing the cd, which I am quite excited about. We are also handmaking and screen printing the packaging. The only part of the project that will not be constructed by us are the actual cd's. Our friend logan has provided us with some amazing art and we found a great deal on cd-r printing. Everything has come together with great ease. I need only secondary guitar/noise tracks and the album will be complete!

On an unrelated note my recent move is working out splendidly. I never struggled for independence while living with my parents however now that I am living on my own I have really come to enjoy those aspects of my new arrangement. I really enjoy doing house work, and now that I no longer have cable I find myself being very much more productive. I've started taking walks in my new hometown and I am falling in love with this city. I've never felt so at home in any other city. I miss my mom and dad a lot but I really do enjoy the new dynamic of our respective relationships.....(especially when mom brings brownies).
