Crazy Spring Break
So my spring break this year was definatly the most eventful spring break i have ever had/ one of the most eventful weeks as a whole. Where to begin.... So i met this guy whos 23-24 ish through another friend, it turns out he is a multi-millionaire..... He inherited a bunch of money through his dad. He came to visit my friend here and is from LA and decided he liked it out here bc the people are soooooo much nicer here that he bought an apartment and is staying here for a little bit. I ended up hanging out with him and drew took him around town a little bit to see peoria. He found out i did the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run and loved that i was doing a job that was helping save little kids that need help and decided to give me $10,000 to donate to the cause, at the moment he wrote the check and handed it to me i about fainted because i have never seen anyone just dish out that kind of money like it was nothing........
He was going back to LA on sat to get some stuff to bring here and needed a ride to the airport and asked me and with out hesitation cause im a sucker and cant say no to people i said sure why not. I drove to pick him up and it was super stormy out and he came out with a Playstation 3 and another $20,000 check for me to give towards the ST. JUDE MEMPHIS TO PEORIA RUN just for being so nice to him and taking him to the airport. OMG i still cant believe what he did its soo crazy cause i have never had anything remotly close like that happen to me........ So, so far i have raised $30,000 for the Memphis to Peoria Run and aquired a PS3 and games and blue ray dvds in a matter of less than one week, it has been very very unreal
A few months ago i got an email from the Band The Starting Line that siad they wanted to play at more universities and i got contact info from them and forwarded it on to a girl who is in charge of that kind of stuff at BU and never recieved any kind of response back from her so i didnt think anything of it and then tonight i found out that they are comeing to bradley with Motion City soundtrack and not that i want "credit" for it but Damnit i work hard for shit like that so i would have apprieciated a heads up or a " hey thanks for the find and your help, we are going to have them come here to bu and you can meet them because you helped us get them here" or somthing like that, and i think its esspecially rude to not accknowledge me in finding that, because getting bands like that to come here to bradley is kinda a huge deal . I dont know im very unselfish but i guess this band is a very important band to me and having found their interested into come to bradley and helping set that up and not getting any kind of THANKS FOR YOU HELP WE APPRIECIATE IT. piss me off......... i dunno mabye im wrong....... thats just how i feel
