I got home this morning at about 3:00 AM. I left St. Petersburg, Florida, at 8:45 AM. That was a LOOOONG fucking drive. But I made it safe and sound. In the past week I played a sweet show in Cincinatti, hung out with
the Pinstripes and
the Frankl Project for a bit the next night as well. Then I drove to Alpharetto, GA, to hang out with Peter of
Taj Motel Trio for a night and most of the next day. He sells coffee to Lil John! Wednesday night I drove out to Athens, GA, to witness performances (at separate shows, mind you) by
the Matt Kurz One and
Bomb The Music Industry!, and stayed the night at Matt and Jeff's house. Then I journeyed to Orlando, FL, where a bar show moved to a house party with the
Flaming Tsunamis. I checked out one of my heroes,
Dan Potthast in Clearwater, FL, and this great band called
Call For Fire played as well. I stayed that night and the next with a solo acoustic Florida ska musician by the name of
Matt Turner, who also happened to play the show the next day with me and the Taj Motel Trio. Quite a time was had.
