Yeah, it's getting late, and I've been busy today (okay, mainly posting favorite anime-related message boards, but that still counts as busy ;) ). Anyway, I'll start off with a fairly long political musing, and that's whether or not the American government should criminalize adultery. Why? Here goes. First, a marriage license is a legal document, and therefore if you break any of the promises inherent in that document (ex. love and cherish till death do us part), you should be held legally accountable. Second, "Thou shall not commit adultery" is third on the list of the Ten Commandments, at least according to my King James version of the Holy Bible. True, the U.S. government is secular, but most if not all Republican administrations do not view it explicitly as such. This is just MHO (my humble opinion), but according to the Republicans, we live under a Christian government. But aside from that, I have to think that if adultery is such a highly regarded sin, right up there with murder and theft, it should be illegal. If it were illegal now, many husbands and wives would currently be in jail. I wouldn't be happy about that, but then again, adultery wouldn't have to be a crime that merits life in prison. So that's that. Good night until tomorrow.
