big win for argyle surprise
A really good day: at work I've been doing some actual editing, which was always my favorite part of my job (and one I'm best at) but which I haven't gotten to do in a long while. After work, went to Flying Saucer for the last trivia - we had a huge glut of people (15!) and scored second place, with 26/30, for $35 gift certificate. It was a lot of fun.
Then I hustled down to Opal Devine's on SoCo, where John was having birthday drinks, and also trivia. I only arrived in time for the last two rounds, but I helped out a little and 'our' (their) team tied for first (and tied the tiebreaker, and lost out on the second tiebreaker round)! So tonight was a double-win. As a bonus, their second team (Geeks Who Drink limits teams to 6 people) managed to get third. Pretty sure GWD trivia is easier than Saucer's.
The drive home was awesome, windy with tons of lightning in the distance.
