Future Vacation Plans

I don't have enough PTO (paid time off) saved up for a vacation of any sort this year, but I do have plans for future summers.

Next year (2009) should include my 10 year high school reunion. This, in and of itself, is not a reason to drive over 1000 miles, or spend a bunch of money to fly. So why not extend it and actually have fun? I want to take two weeks off next year for three things: the afore mentioned reunion, to visit my grandparents, and to go on my first cruise. My grandparents live near Cape Canaveral, a popular port of call. It's a bit north to start and end, but I'll be able to take a 6-9 day cruise. Any suggestions about destinations?

I have even bigger plans for summer of 2010. I should be able to save up enough PTO to take four weeks off. I want to go on a driving tour of the south/western US. I already plan on visiting the Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe State Park, San Francisco, and Yellowstone. Any other suggestions? Even better, does anyone want me to stop by? I know that some of you live in Louisiana, Texas, and California, among other places. Anyone want to make tentative plans for a visit? I'll buy lunch/dinner.

Matt
