Welcoming the New Year
The new year began on a good foot. I got to hang out with my very good friend Ryan and his girlfriend Anne and we catered in the New Year well. I have so many plans for the new year that I can't wait to get them underway.
I did however receive terrible news through the statuses on Facebook.
I found out that my good friend Tristan Grant had passed away in the not too distant past. I don't know the details on it at all and I am still in the process of finding out what happened. Regardless, Tristan was an amazing dude. I loved playing music with him and just hanging out. He would always make me laugh. I would consider him to be like a little brother.
Now that he is gone, I will be left with memories of our times spent. Going to California will bring back memories of places that I hung out with Tristan outside of just the pure joy of being back out there.
I will truly miss Tristan. He was an amazing individual.
I know that he's shining down on us now.

I hope that you are all having a good new year. After that downer there is a good need for a pick-up. This is the year to conquer, to change and to make your mark.
Let's do something epic this year. Our country has taken a step forward after we took a few back.
