Again, I must invoke the "boring warning".

Tonight was my second big nostalgia hit in as many days.
Firstly, last night Malvinh and I began discussing Paramites, which appeared in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, an that got us on to the games in general... I used to love possessing the Sligs and using them to protect the captive Mudokons by killing other Sligs... You know what else kicked ass? Possessing FLYING Sligs, that was the shit. Those guys dropped bombs on other shit like nobody's business but their own.
Then tonight, Mattisdada and I somehow spontaneously reminded each other of Pokemon Jade/Diamond, which really were a set of Japanese games in the Telefang series that were pirated, translated into bad Engrish and had a Pokemon label slapped on them. Aside from that, the game wasn't half bad, but... now I can't seem to find any English ROM of Jade (it has a different "starter" buddy to Diamond). The Engrish was laughable, but it's a real love-or-hate game... much like the real Pokemon games, I guess.
