As you all know already, today was "Hug Your Sweetheart Day." To celebrate it, I visited Lauren's house and gave her just that: a hug. (Well it was more like a shower of hugs rather than just one, boring hug ^_~;;;) For lunch, I took Lauren out to a Japanese restaurant and ate some yummy teriyaki chicken, california rolls, and other yummy japanesey stuffs. Then I took her back to my place, watched some Totoro (love that movie!), and chatted for a bit. Later, I took her to Santa Anita Mall for the first time and looked at the various shops for a bit (like Hollister hehe). Then we went to the AMC at the mall and watched "March of the Penguins." Guys, I know there's no blood, or sex scenes, or bullets in the movie, it's a good movie to watch, especially if you bring a friend. And when I mean friend, I mean person of the opposite sex. ^_~ It's just amazing what penguins go through just to survive in the Arctic.
Here are some things I learned after watching "March of the Penguins":
1) NEVER sit on your children/eggs/hatchlings/babies
2) Momma and Poppa penguins both walk at least 70+ miles just to find friggin food!! And they walk snail speed!!(Jeesh, it makes me feel like a lazy human-being just thinking about it -_____-;;;)
3) Like I told Lauren, I think I would've made a very bad penguin 'cause I prolly would've gotten lazy after walking 10 miles and just died in the ice storm >_<;;; (which makes me happy that I'm not a penguin ^_^)
4) The film crew could've seriously died 'cause they had to live in Antarctica for a whole year just to film the documentary!!
5) Life of a penguin: verrrrrrryyyy dangerous >_<;;; although they're quite cute and fuzzy when they're born.
6) Love CAN survive, even in the harshest of conditions ^_^
Hope you all had a fun "Hug Your Sweetheart Day"! Cya tomorrow to those of you who are going to the gspot hangout thingy!
Mattster out!
