Jesus. Anyway...

I arrived in Brisbane today after an absolutely amazing four day tour of Tasmania (sorry, Mom, couldn't afford to pass it up). So far, so good. I've done a bit of wandering around the town today and have been doing my best to try and organize the remainder of my time here in Australia. I've been heavily contemplating going into the Outback however money (more so than time) may be an issue here. I hate debating things like this because I firmly believe money means nothing compared to the experience of traveling but even a few days venture out into the Red Center would push close to a thousand bucks or more. Plus, the flights out there would actually end up costing me more than the tour itself. I'll be talking to a travel agent tomorrow and see what I can put together. Either way, I'm pretty content to bum around Brisbane for a few days and check out Mr. Irwin's zoo.

I would love to write on endlessly about my time in Tasmania, but no LJ post will do it justice. Just check out my photos on facebook. I spent just under 5 days in Tasmania doing a 4 day bus tour on the east coast and a bit of the center. Most notable was a day trip to Wineglass Bay. This place alone was worth the tour's price tag. Wineglass Bay has been rated as one of the best beaches in the world, and after my visit, I can see why. It's very secluded, the water is pristine, the sand is so fine it actually squeaks when you walk on it, and it's surrounded by forest on all sides. Oh, that and we were graced with a pod of about 4 dolphins that came flying through the bay, literally within yards of the shore. Again, just check out the photos.

FYI, Tasmania is a STATE of Australia, not a separate country.
