Happy Birthday God of all,
Do You enjoy smiling as I fall?
Laughing as I’m forced to crawl?
Is it fun to watch people suffer?
To see us cry in tears for an answer?
As Your world falls to Lucifer?
I feel nothing in dreams and no more as I lie awake,
I am unable to see the line between real and fake,
They blend as one keeping me from the answer I seek.
I loved living a life full of ignorance,
Believing was a time of pure elegance,
A path I forged by a Book of great significance.
I cry and smile,
I’m full of faith and utter denial,
I love and hate You - so here’s my proposal.
Speak to me as I have spoken to You,
I have failed and call upon all that is True,
Please, remove the doubt as I have tried to do.
I’m simply lost in my ways with no sight of direction,
Friends offer help for a chance at resurrection,
But who died, God Almighty or I in misconception?
