I was looking through my old entries and thought I'd give a quick update since it seems that maybe a few people are interested in knowing what's going on with me.
Let's see... just finished my first semester at SDSU, which was hell. While hardly my best semester, the lowest grade I seem to have gotten was a C+, which is good considering all the extra shit I had going on.
Speaking of which, the newspaper job hasn't been going that well. I basically got fired off of the Encinitas city beat, and 15 minutes later I was rehired as the Carmel Valley reporter. Fucking great, right? Except that Carmel Valley is the epitome of suburbia, and I've wound up just reporting on the actions taken by the community's various planning boards. Last week there was absolutely no news, and it was the first week since July that I turned in no stories. It sucks.
I'm looking forward to the New Year's party. I've worked on New Year's the past three years and well, it sucks. I rocked it pretty hard during the Christmas party... basically flirting with every girl there and spilling my drinks in the process. Sigh. Go drunk Matt.
I'm at work now and it's just past 6 a.m. and I'm tired and I want to go home and play Warcraft III. I got a real journal for Christmas so it remains to be seen if I'll use this thing again.
