Someone Give Me a Hug

Dec 08, 2003 23:53

In the last few days, I have interviewed the following people:

Ben Affleck ("dude we're so on the same wave-length, maybe I should get a faux hawk too"), Sean Astin (twice), Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd (twice), Hilary Duff, Kirsten Dunst, Aaron Eckhart, Matthew Goode, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Marcia Gay Harden, Mark Harmon, Peter Jackson (twice), Steve Martin, Sir Ian McKellen (twice), Dominic Monaghan, Mandy Moore ("48 Hours" filmed me interviewing her for a "young Hollywood" story they are doing in a couple of months; and yes, I wore a Bleeding Through shirt), Viggo Mortenson (twice), Jeremy Piven, Andy Serkis (twice - he did Gollum for me, too), Kevin Smith, Julia Roberts, Julia Stiles (she liked my black fingernails), Uma Thurman, Liv Tyler (she liked my hair), Dominic West, John Woo and Elijah Wood (twice).

I also managed to see "Chasing Liberty," "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Cold Mountain," made it to two Bleeding Through shows, attended the "Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" premiere and after-party, did an interview for my friend uhourheartsya's paper and had dinner with my friend Curtis and got to show someone my favorite movie ever, "The Crow," for the first time.

I'm exhausted.
Someone hug me.

And before someone comments, "but that all sounds amazing, stop whining" let me just say that, well, of course it is, but it's tiring nevertheless. And like Rodney Dangerfield, I ain't getting no respect around the hallways at MTV News. Undoubtedly, soon, we'll just have some new (but pretty!) moron that will come in and start doing half or more of these interviews and whom I will have to train. I'm not looking for sympathy. I could be digging ditches. Just a hug or two. Or maybe just tell me to stop whining. I don't know.

PS I miss Guav.
